I'm not shocked at all. I posted forever ago the sales of all her albums. Every one sells lower than the previous. I think this means she does need the break.

Considering that almost all of her albums have been million sellers, I don't know how 22k doesn't shock you. That's like a fraction of a fraction of what her albums usually sell. By the way, HEART STATION sold more than ULTRA BLUE.

Her albums never sold a million in a day lol. @_@ Cept maybe SCV1 did....not sure on that. Even if these were actual sales (which they are not since preorders are not counted), it wouldn't be all THAT shocking....if she maintained 20k for the rest of the week....I wouldn't be surprised at the weekly sales.

^ Ain't that the truth! Hikki strikes me as someone who just goes with the flow of things na'mean? She seems very nonchalant most of the time in regard to her music career. And I mean that in a respectful way.

But yeah, since today was a holiday in Japan I am not surprised with the first day sales. I'm sure this compilation album will sell at least 900k in the long run.

I just can't wait to receive my damn copy.

I received my copy of SC2 from FedEx just now... and Bluegie was right. I had to pay an extra $21.78 for the stupid custom duties and taxes. UGH. Learned my lesson and will NEVER use FedEx anymore. So frustrated.

^Wow... $21.78 for the tax and fees? Fedex is getting hungry again . I guess we all get our lessons from Fedex. But this is fast, they've already told you the amount of tax+fee the time you received your parcel? Last time it took them a month to mail me that stupid letter.

Did you mark the cd as a gift? If so, I think you can argue with Canada custom because the "gift" (SC2) is less than $60. Anything less than that amount is tax exempted.

I don't know about First Love, but Distance sold 1.6m on the first day, while DEEP RIVER sold over 1 million on the first day as well. SC1 did not tho. It sold about 490K on the first day.

This is very depressing. 22K on the first day for a best album. Does Ken Hirai accidentally share his curse with hikki...?

It's not depressing, because it's NOT THE ACTUAL FIRST DAY SALES. It's a holiday, it's an anomaly, it's not normal, it shouldn't be regarded as normal, there's no problem.

I really hope what everyone says is rite. Maybe my fav artists have never released their album during this week in Japan, so I'm not aware of that (consider I've been visiting oricon website since Addicted To You first week sales... and it's shameful to reveal that lol).
