More details on YUI’s upcoming single, “HELLO~Paradise Kiss~”

YUI will be releasing a new single titled, “HELLO~Paradise Kiss~” on June 1st, and recently, she revealed the track list for the upcoming single.

As tokyohive reported previously, ”HELLO~Paradise Kiss~” has been chosen as the theme song for upcoming movie “Paradise Kiss” while one of the tracks “YOU” will also be the movie’s ending theme song.

There will be two different versions; limited edition and a regular edition. The track list for both versions will be the same, but the limited edition will also include a DVD.

she already released It's My Life / Your Heaven earlier on this year & I don't think Sony BMG is that willing to let her make another double A-side for financial reasons :O

but at least the PV for It's My Life will be available in the DVD tracklist & I haven't seen YUI releasing 2 double A-side singles back to back too

Based on a popular comic series from the author of Nana, the film version of Paradise Kiss is one of the most anticipated films of 2011. Singer/songwriter YUI, a fan of the comic herself, was picked to write and perform the two theme songs for the film. In addition to the opening and ending theme songs - Hello - Paradise Kiss and You - the single also includes a new acoustic version of It's My Life.

YUI to hold her first overseas concert in Hong Kong

Singer-songwriter YUI will be holding her first overseas concert in Hong Kong on June 26th! YUI will host her first concert outside of Japan at the AsiaWorld Arena, the largest indoor seated venue in Hong Kong; it’s planned to pull in a 7,000-member audience.

YUI’s enjoyed a high popularity in Hong Kong because of her 2006 movie, “Taiyo no Uta“; her 2007 album, “CAN’T BUY MY LOVE” also landed in the Top 3 for 12 consecutive weeks, eventually peaking at No.1 on the local HMV ‘Japan・ Korean chart’.

YUI was offered to hold a live concert in Hong Kong for awhile, and it seems that local fans will finally get to see their favorite J-pop artist perform on their home turf. YUI plans to sell original charity goods at the concert, the profits from which will be donated towards disaster relief.

HELLO ~Paradise Kiss~ is not catchy on 1st listen :x but at least the melody is something that I never heard before in YUI's past works
