Days is amazing and really made me feel like "AYU HAS STILL GOT IT!" when it was released. It was very smooth flowing yet exciting. It just felt complete like most my favorite works by her are. They just sound like they hit the nail on the head when going for that track. One of those tracks that you couldn't imagine any other way. It just sounds complete.

maybe Sunset, but definitely not even close to being on the level of recent ballads like MOON, Virgin Road, November & crossroad

Days isn't bad, it's just not as good as the majority of her ballads. I don't think she needs re-inventing though, so as long as she doesn't start singing retarded songs similar to the ridicule kpop is

I think days is one of the songs you have to get use too. When first hearing it i didn't like it... in fact i didn't like the entire Next level album, but after watching the Next level concert I fell in love with the entire album and Next Level (The song) Is a beautiful song, and so is days.

but i will also say that Moon is an excellent song as well!

As for the sales and everything, I have no idea whats going on in that department. I have listened to other peoples stuff, mainly the top 10 selling artist of last year and I don't know if I'm being basis or what, but they can't even compare to ayumi. (Like that female group AKT48 (or something... ) I don't care for them at all, lol. But Arashi is decent...) I also feels that she reevents herself every album, with sound and rhythm. I just think that she has been in the music business for 12 years none stop. This happens with all sorts of artist, they make so many thinks and people get tired of them, but after a year or two they come back and bam!

All of these songs have a much weaker chorus than Days. The thing I love about Days is something none of these really have. With these you have to warm up to the chorus as it's not a full WAM-BAM perfect catchy melody. MOON took me forever to like, I can't stand Virgin Road, crossroad took me a little bit too but I do like it now and I am obsessed with November, but more specifically about how beautiful the arrangement is and that's what made me love the song so much.

I like Days but that's true. In order for Ayu to be big again she has to consistently make what the public likes. She does it every now and then and it's no doubt because she wants to. The day she does only what's popular and not what she wants is the day I stop listening. Because her direction of music is better than many of the top selling artists right now.
