I fell for Ikimonogakari. Hard. I've been listening to their newest album on repeat for days and it's so amazing why hasn't it become a part of my life sooner it's beutiful.

And Do As Infinity's TIME MACHINE is perfect and I received a poster with my order I didn't expect that ahh life's good.

I want to find more kpop that I love. Like mainstream stuff. I like pop music...and I'd love to be able to love korean pop music more...

but...even with all of these groups making these dance tracks, which I usually love....I'm just so bored

I'm not an idol person either, I don't usually like idol groups, because the music is usually never strong enough for me...but I mean, I can give anything a chance if the music is worth it...

anyways, I've listened to KARA, Girls Generation, Lee Hyori, I think it was Brown Eyed Girls, 2NE1, and 4 minute...among others, some I don't remember.

And from each of these...I usually only like maybe 1 or 2 songs...which is disappointing for me. Most of them are just...boring. How can you release the same......nvm...

Anyway, I'm going to try out T-ARA. I've seen some people around here I respect (lol) say good things about them...and I think they're dance heavy...


idk what my problem is...I just get bored. I feel like I want to ask the kpop scene for something different. You have all these people, doing the same thing, and making this generic music...cant the music ever be standout? Can it ever be about that?

I don't think that's a contradiction to pop music...but I think it might be a contradiction to kpop mainstream music...but I'm not quite sure yet.

I've just yet to be impressed by anything.

^^ You should REALLY give IU a try. She's still considered an idol despite being solo and writing/composing some of her songs. Her latest album is already one of my top favorite Kpop albums of all time~

And I know I always say this but SHINee's songs and concepts are usually not what other idols would do imo, but it still dance/idol music. Their latest song Sherlock is proof of that XD

You might also like Sunny Hill, they're a bit like IU since they're from the same company but they're more mature.

I can see myself really liking IU and Sunny Hill! I've been meaning to listen to stuff by them I even have something by IU....Last Fantasy? probably an album.

I like Shinee...but...I think I like them more cause they're nice to look at idk if I could listen on a daily basis...but I'd definitely watch their performances!

So...I think I can tell SNSD all apart now lol I saw the first four documentary episodes...um SNSD goes to school? Something like that the music is still a little boring for me, but I really really like the girls.

I tried out the new Elva Hsiao album, I know nothing about her or the genre, but I reaaallly like it. I want everything by her!! Any recommendations as to where I should go next? I have Diamond Candy waiting to be listened to.

Or anybody similar I should try?

Sometimes we're getting tired of radiko (JP IP address required) and KeyHoleTV for Japanese radio, but I just found out a bunch of radio stations that we can freely access WORLDWIDE - it's the Simul Radio network of radio stations around Japan, and it really contains a number of radio stations that we've never heard of, and maybe some Japanese music... (I earlier heard Motohiro Hata on one of those Simul Radio participating radio stations...)

I know what you mean about a lot of hot releases coming out within the next months (particularly July). My poor wallet is being bombarded with preorders, lol.

lol so far I'm very lucky I have nothing to buy in May but yeah June is going to be X.X for me

so far in my to buy list in June - 2 albums & a single

it's not counting future concert goods BREAKERZ will be issuing too , especially in July lmao

ah what can I say ? BREAKERZ is the only group that has the ability to make me poor but I don't mind xD

reason I checked out back in 2009, which btw is like a godly year for Kpop fans idek for me the idols domination is wayyy too much

anyway the few I still like is e.via ( she is a rapper), Ivy and After School, their Japanese material tbh

these singles this era vary from painfully generic to really good, usually Namie is spot on but this era feels like she was overly commercial and rushed (yah I know its been like 2 years anyway) maybe to please avex or keep her peak
