Then I must be a blind Namie stan since I pretty much loved every single song she released as a single since Break It / Get Myself Back. I haven't listened to Uncontrolled through yet but I'll do it after I finish with Marina and the Diamonds' playlist. Despite all this negative feedback here I'm still going to listen to this album. Personally I believe it can't be that bad. :p

Okay, I listened to the album and can't understand the hate. It's a masterpiece much like every Namie album is to me. Songs have so much English in them that I sometimes think I'm listening to a western pop singer lol. I don't mind that since I'm a fan of westernized J-pop. <3

I was actually thrilled to hear some full english songs. The album isn't her best, but I am still jamming to her after all these years so she's doing something right.

I love having the English songs. No matter what the reason, I think it's wonderful she's doing them at all. It's obvious she's far from fluent in English, but I sorta feel like she's trying to reach out to us international fans. ^^

Also, my copy of the album's been shipped. ^^

I'm a gigantic Madonna fan but felt like this album was really lacking in some areas - though rather good overall. It's not that it's too westernized though for me, it's that some songs are too...generic. There's nothing wrong with being more or less generic, it's pop music after all and Namie has always been on the more generic side of the spectrum - and always did it well -, but some of the songs(mainly the new ones) lack personality to me and I have never felt that from Namie before. And the English rerecordings have plain awkward lyrics(the end of Go Round...WTF?)

I have to ask this because it's bothering me so much - Why does the volume in NAKED very noticeably decrease after In The Spotlight (TOKYO)?

I'm so po'd right now, my mail person didn't even ring my doorbell for me to sign for my package so I'm waiting for them to get back to the post office so I can go pick it up, and their handwriting was terrible it looked like they tried to say they attempted to deliver it around 5:30 and I always get my cdjapan orders around 10, and my stepdad is always up around that time for work, so he was probably too lazy to bring it do my doorstep(mind you I have dogs that bark constantly) and not once had they barked. so sad I just wish I had UNCONTROLLED IN MY HANDS!!! Ahhhh hate you USPS!

ON the brightside at least I got first press and am more than ready to put that poster up on my wall, time to order PLAY & QOHP ones as well

I think that all depends on who produces & masters the tracks if I'm not mistaken, I could be wrong though. It tends to happen with different songs on any album. There's some that are like that in a few Namie Amuro albums so if anything I do believe it does have something to do with who produces, mixes, and masters the tracks.

I can understand that, but shouldn't albums be mastered so all of the songs are at the same or at least similar volume level? Because this way it just sounds way too weird. I didn't notice any other transitions in her other albums that are this uneven, but then again maybe I just didn't pay attention to that stuff. Here it's just way too noticeable, I guess.

Usually one of the producers is assigned to normalize the volume of the tracks so there's no sudden booms of loudless or it suddenly gets too quiet. That person failed in this case.

I like Uncontrolled a lot. Not an album I can listen hours to, but my mood for some.. uncontrolled music usually returns daily.

I think it's nice that Namie is always trying something new. She's just doing what she wants to do, and she's always been like that - whether it's popular or not.

That said, I've not listened to the new album yet. I'm looking forward to it when I have some free time.
