I think it's really unfortunate that the songs of each style are grouped together. Like, I have literally no reason to listen to the second half. If they were mixed together, maybe one day one of the ballads would catch my attention, but since they're all stuck together that won't ever happen.

Exactly. It does miracles for the flow, but turns the second half into a borefest unless you're really into the songs. At least the first half is a rather glorious piece of dance pop.

Thanks to the booklet we know that Spying On You Behind The Fence and Mosaic have a MV. It seems that Parris Goebel is Mosaic's choreographer too?

My professional review of MUSE.

The Great Artist: I really love this song. One of the best on this album imo. It's a great upbeat and dance song Also a great album opener!
Dr. Jolin: At first I didn't like the song but it's growing on me~ I really like it now. Great song.
Fantasy: Really like this song and its chorus too.
Friday The 13th: I wish this was a more spooky and mysterious song, not a somewhat happy and cheerful song. Oh well. At least it's not bad.
Beast: omg omg totally love it This might sound strange but I really have to think about the Beast of Beauty and the Beast. I have no idea what the lyrics are about but I think that music suits him Or maybe I've been watching to many Disney movies.
Spying On You Behind The Fence: This title is really hilarious imo. Nice song too, probably not a song I'll listen often but it's nice and cute.
Color Photos: Boring.
Wandering Poet: Next please.
Someone: I really like the music of this song but other than that, I find it very boring.
Mosaic: Wake me when it's over.

Like someone else pointed out already, it's a shame they put the upbeat songs at the beginning and the slow songs at the end...
The first half is good but the second half is just boring.

Someone close to Sam Chen (Chen Ze Shan, Jolin's manager and Warner's CEO) said Sam & Jolin have divergence of views in this album.
in the view of Sam M-pop market prefer slow song，but jolin want to sing dance music，don't like myself ，muse is just a balance.
the pre-selling of muse is great,so jolin's selection & Sam's judgement both are right.

Considering poor 玩爱之徒/Love Player hurt Myself's sales, Sam Chen decided to change it from 2nd to 5th promo song.

Promo songs from MUSE should have been "released" in this order in the first place:

1. The Great Artist
2. Dr.Jolin
3. Spying On You Behind The Fence
4. Wandering Poet
5. Mosaic
6. Fantasy

By the way Spying On You Behind The Fence will indeed be the 3rd promo song, its MV is the one which has been shot in Paris.

Yeah, I really like it and it's a surprising song from Jolin!
From 11 songs on MUSE I love or like 7... just the (slow) ballads aren't my thing, but they're really bad this time.
Overall I'm absolutely satisified with the album.
