Kana has slipped into the same level as Beni for me-- I like looking at them, definitely like them, there's the occasional great song, I generally keep up with them, but nothing matches either ones first two albums.

Nothing she's made sounds particularly bad these past few years, but it just falls flat. I think she's been a little too prolific and the quality or passion or whatever has faded.

Well, that's Kana for me! A lot of good stuff, plus one or two masterpieces. Never had the chance to complain, tbh, except for Kimitte and Watashitachi. She also has amazing concepts. She could improve the PVs, though, but the cute overload makes up for the lack of plot in them, lol.
And Love Place was amazingly good. SAKURA, I Love You?, Tatoe Donna Ni..., FANTASY, Be Strong, were all fantastic, but in general there really wasn't a bad track (minus Watashitachi), and I love that about Kana. I think a lot of people said it sounded flat, but for me it was because it's such a cohesive album, with a really precise and well delivered sound. Like every single one of hers, lol.

I think Kana is just too safe. While she does experiment with her sound on her b-side tracks, her image as a whole is just really... squeaky clean. No real risks are taken, like with Ayu's Party Queen or Kuu's ero-kawaii. I suppose her image has brought her success in the past, and why mess with a formula that's working, but at the same time, its like she's not growing as an artist and eventually fans will get bored.

I agree. In the end it's subjective, but it really did seem she was on track to be the new Ayu.

Mh... not bad, I suppose. I'm still not impressed with Namida Iro, but the chorus is kind of particular, and maybe the full version will sound nicer!

Interesting PV but like many of you have been saying, it doesn't bring anything new to the table. Sounds like all of Kana's other songs.

That's the short version? Damn. Is the long version a bunch of girls sharing all the things their ex boyfriends bought for them? I couldn't handle that. Too sappy. I'd barf. Yuck.

For some reason, I think of Be Strong's PV after watching the short preview for the new song. I wonder if this single is a form of promotion for the collection release or can we expect s new studio album soon.

It will be in LOVE Collection, because it's written in the official site, so it's probably just to promote the Best (and that's why I didn't understand why they didn't go digital with it, Kana does well digitally, and I don't think many people will buy the single, knowing the leader track it's among the new ones in the Best)

They probably could buy the single just for the b-sides. Many fans love her b-sides a lot.
