Sasshi's doing great. I didn't vote this year though I had a chance. Should have supported Paruru and KojiHaru though.

Oh well, I hope Paruru won't be graduating anytime soon.

LOVE TRIP sold 1.1 million on its first day according to Oricon.
1.3 million according to Billboard.

Ohwell, another million to the streak! lol

It seems the sister groups are going to plateau at around 300k per single looking at the sales of NMB and SKE.
I guess that's fine, as long as they get 1st.

48/46 fans are being stretched thiiiiiiiin with all these new groups lol

Nogizaka46 is currently at 800k per single, while Keyakizaka46 is only at their second single and sells around 400k. If Nogi really wanted to surpass AKB, with their 3rd generation announced and if they include Keyaki members in their singles lile AKB does with their sister groups they would easily sell a million. But including Keyaki members is highly unlikely.

I think in the near future Nogizaka will surpass AKB sales per single

SKE/NMB/HKT groups are in danger zone

^I think they decided to use another song as lead track/title track

SNH48 new EP "Princess Cloak" teaser

The title track features 16 members choosen in 2016's General Election

AKB has really to step up on their game, I feel quality wise they are loosing to SNH48 since Halloween Night.
SNH48 went to Spain to shoot "Princess Cloak".

AKB's new single.
Paruru leaves at the end of the year, so she gets to center her last single.

---

Also, Sayanee's album has sold around 41k in three days.
Here's hoping it gets to 50k by the end of the week. Queen! <3

Need to bump this because we haven't been talking too much AKB48 here on AHS...

Since the last post:
  • Paruru graduation single (November 2016)
  • New album 'Thumbnail' (January)
  • Kojiharu graduation single (March) and the actual graduation itself (April)
  • Senbatsu election single (released this week, another million seller...)
  • Two weeks until the senbatsu election result night

And that isn't including Nogizaka46 and Keyakizaka46 business either, they've released some singles as well, and recently, a new Nogizaka46 album.

Problem is: Stage48 (http://stage48.net/) has been struggling - first with bandwidth issues towards the end of the month, and right now the domain expired, leaving us with pretty much almost nothing to talk about for AKB48 and friends/Sakamichi46 (Nogi/Keayki) since we've been reliant on this forum to discuss about them.

If anyone is willing to contribute here to AHS please feel free to post it.

EDIT: Looks like the domain got renewed...for at least another year.

And Ogino Yuka, NGT48 member, got the 1st place in preliminary senbatsu election while Minegishi Minami got nothing.

There are too many new girls and groups and I stopped following them after KojiHaru's graduation.

Looks like the AKB48 election event in Okinawa has been cancelled due to bad weather... (>_<)

Had a feeling the idea of such an event in an outdoor venue in Okinawa at this time of the year (June in Okinawa = RAIN) wasn't really a good idea.

Spoiler:
I'd rather be at Le Mans, as my Cancun trip is going to be subject to rain as well...

Now I have to question why in the world the management want to put the AKB48 election results event in an outdoor venue in Okinawa at a time where heavy rain is prominent...

- Congratulations to Sashihara Rino for being a winner for the 3rd consecutive year!
- Watanabe Mayu will graduate within 2017
- NMB48's Sutou Ririka announces engagement

More info here
http://aramajapan.com/news/sashihara...nd-more/76771/

This was really interesting sousenkyo! Personally I was cheering for NMB48's Yoshida Akari and I am sooo happy she made it to Senbatsu!

I am quite sad about Mayu, but she's great, she's leaving at perfect time. Someone like Minegishi Minami should learn how to graduate gracefully. Minegishi said it was her last Sousenkyo last year, then she participated again this year saying it is her last and today she said she'd participate next year too!

And I am angry about Sutou Ririka. I'm not sure if she's dumb or that...
