You know, if you play COLOURS right after A ONE it flows quite nicely. It helps make Moving On Without You as the last track make sense lol.

Yes and no, the discount helps a lot actually. There were a couple of weeks they removed the discount and immediately the album fell of the charts. I suppose that's why they put the discount back, better to sell a lot with the discount than to not sell well at all...

But you're right that there must be something else, there are other best albums with discount, but A BEST is the one slaying the charts for over a year now. Maybe people still remember it's extreme popularity back in the day and when they see it with the discount they think "why not? I remember it being awesome" and download it

I think this says a lot about Ayu's popularity among the general public. They may not pay attention to her new releases, but the public still love her old music.

I agree.
There's usually a turning point for a discount especially when it's been going on for a while. Maybe @pimenta 's point is right, people still remember ayu for he past works. If that's the case, they should have a double promo like combining A ONE with A BEST or sth.

But I've read somewhere that recochoku has sharply decline since the rise of internet downloads. so maybe even the sales of A BEST doesnt have that significant impact on ayu.

Anyway, thanks for updating the charts! so glad to see that A ONE is still on the top 50.

That is one part but the other part is people still have to buy it. just being on discount doesn't really help.. I really wonder what drives so many people to buy an album that came out 14 years ago, not that I'm complaining I'm sure ayu doesn't complain about the extra cash either lol I'm waiting for it to get the gold certification

It might be a little to do with Japanese culture as in the whole selling cds and space issue some people have. Like with a game. You may love it, but get bored so you trade it in. A few years later you may want to play that game again so you go out and re buy it.

If ayu outsells Kuu it'll be for like 2k rofl It's nothing in the end, and they've been selling the same amounts for ages (I guess except Love songs and FIVE iirc), it's pratically a draw

And even if Ayu end up selling few copies more, Kuu still got #1 on the chart. :')

As for A ONE's chart success, she's doing well. People may be annoyed that she doesn't sell more, but I come from a small country and selling 46,000+ here is considered a hit album so I don't see those sales bad. I see them being good.

And A BEST has returned to the digital charts? Wow. O.O
