New Nakamaru drama

New drama for Yucchi!

Our intellectual boy will be the protagonist of the drama "Massage Tantei Joe"
The drama is about a masseur who will find different crimes in his workplace and must solve them, and for this he will use his knowledge in the art of massage.

The drama premieres in April and will be broadcast after midnight on TV Tokyo.
The page emphasises that it is the first time that a Johnny will carry out a drama in that schedule for the television.

Former KAT-TUN member Taguchi Junnosuke releasing major label debut single

Former KAT-TUN member Taguchi Junnosuke will be releasing his major level debut in April. Since withdrawing from both KAT-TUN and Johnny & Associates back in the spring of 2016, Taguchi stunned fans when he announced his comeback to the music industry in September 2016. An indie single, HERO, was released two months later in November.

Taguchi has scored a deal with Universal Japan, his debut single Connect will be released on April 5th, 2017. Taguchi is starting this new chapter in his life with the motto “I’m a person who stands on the stage again”. When describing the concept of the song Taguchi revealed that he wants to connect with as many people as possible, with himself acting as the “hub”.

Connect will be released in two versions, a standard CD only and limited edition CD+DVD. The CD only will contain an exclusive remix of Connect while the limited edition will include the music video for Connect, as well as the MV for his indie single HERO. Footage of his fan-club event held at Shibuya TSUTAYA O-EAST will also be included on the DVD.

Taguchi Junnosuke Signs With Major Label, Announces New Single "Connect"

Taguchi Junnosuke has signed an exclusive contract with Universal Music Japan, marking the singer's first time with a major label since leaving KAT-TUN last year.

Taguchi made his solo debut with the release of "Hero" on November 2, 2016. The single was released under the label Immortal. The singer is now looking to expand his solo activities by switching to a major label.

"I would like broaden my range of expressing myself as an entertainer such as through acting and modeling, but with a focus on new music activities. I will continue working hard and with my heart in everything I do. I sincerely hope for your warmth and support from this point on," Taguchi said.

Taguchi's first major-label single is titled "Connect". It will be available in a CD-Only and a CD DVD format when it is released on April 5. The singer said he hopes to connect people through his music.

KAT-TUN's Nakamaru Yuichi to sing the theme song of his starring drama

KAT-TUN’s Nakamaru Yuichi is keeping busy. Last February 14, it was announced that he is appointed MC of the new TV Asahi regular variety show “Sekai Roots Tankentai” (World Roots Expedition) which will start this spring, to be broadcasted at a golden timeslot every Monday at 7PM. Last night, he appeared live in “Kinkyu Namahoso! Nakamaru Yuichi Special” to promote his new show along with his ambush interview with KAT-TUN members Kamenashi Kazuya and Ueda Tatsuya.

Also starting in April is his new drama “Massage Tantei Jo” (Massage Detective Jo) which will air at TV Tokyo, Saturdays 12.20am. Nakamaru will be singing the theme song of his drama as his character Jo. He says that he’ll be singing the theme song since KAT-TUN is in a recharge period and hopes that he’ll be able to enhance the unique worldview of the drama. The song is currently in production and no word yet on its release but according to Nakamaru, it will be available for download.

Yabukihara Joe (Nakamaru Yuichi) starts working as a masseur with the encouragement of Eko-baba (Baisho Mitsuko), the owner of a massage shop whom he happened to become acquainted with about one year ago. Recognising that he is gifted in massage, Eko-baba makes Joe go to the homes of all kinds of customers although it agonises him because he dislikes people and has anxiety around strangers. One day, the wealthy husband of Joe’s customer, is murdered and Joe finds himself suspected by police detectives (Ozawa Yukyoshi, Wada Masato). At the suggestion of fellow masseur Aguri (Koshiba Fuka), Joe uses his massage techniques and powers of observation to solve the mystery and clear his name. This becomes the turning point in his life. After that, he keeps getting involved in strange murder cases at customers’ homes and demonstrates his unexpected talent each time.

Taguchi Junnosuke to make major debut from Universal Music Japan

Taguchi Junnosuke (ex. KAT-TUN) has signed a 2-year contract with Universal Music Japan's label UNIVERSAL J. He will be making his major debut with the single "Connect" on April 5.

Taguchi withdrew from KAT-TUN in March of 2016, then released his first solo single "HERO" from an indie label in November. The upcoming single is packed with his feelings of wanting to become a hub where he can 'connect' with various people.

On his major debut, Taguchi commented, "Thanks to my fans and everyone concerned, I was able to sign with a secure partner, Universal Music." He continued, "From now on, with my main focus on my new music, I hope to widen my capacity as an actor, model, and entertainer."

Kamenashi Kazuya and Yamashita Tomohisa reunites in a drama and a special unit

12 years after the iconic duo “Shuji to Akira”, Kamenashi Kazuya and Yamashita Tomohisa are back together in a drama and a special unit “Kame to YamaP”.

Kamenashi is starring in the new drama “Boku, Unmei no hitodesu” with Yamashita, which will start airing in April. The heroine will be played by Kimura Fumino. This romantic-comedy series will be the first drama to air on the new NTV Saturday 10pm timeslot. The theme song will be will be sung by the new unit but no details revealed yet.

Kamenashi and Yamashita last collaborated as “Shuji to Akira” in the hit drama series “Nobuta wo Produce in 2005 and released the theme song “Seishum Amigo” to great success.

Seishun Amigo is still a classic even after all these years & frankly to me both Kame + Yamapi always have make a great duo

I don't expect another Seishun Amigo type of song but I wouldn't deny that it's so great they're going to do something together again

The feels! I'm so excited for the new unit and drama! Though I know it won't come close to Nobuta o produce. But still haha. I hope they play ~normal~ people. I'm kind of tired of these glamorous "pretty" lifestyle dramas. I miss the older Japanese drama settings.

Kamenashi Kazuya & Yamashita Tomohisa form special unit 'Kame to Yamapi'

Kamenashi Kazuya (KAT-TUN) and Yamashita Tomohisa have formed a special unit called 'Kame to Yamapi'. They will be in charge of the theme song for drama "Boku, Unmei no Hito desu."

Kamenashi is set to play the lead role in "Boku, Unmei no Hito desu." The heroine will be played by Kimura Fumino, and Yamashita makes an appearance as the mystery man.

It's been 12 years since Kamenashi and Yamashita formed 'Shuji to Akira' for the drama "Nobuta wo Produce". Their single "Seishun Amigo" was a massive success and broke one million sales.
