^ me too like, it's 4 hot wave 10th anniversary, her next single will be her 60th, they just couldn't not release something omggg

On another topic (or not...?), two days ago Dylan Kelly, producer and co-writter of Cupcake retweed a couple of Cupcake snippets/tweets on twitter, saying "Check out this song I produced and co-wrote for #KodaKumi called "#Cupcake" here's her performing it in Osaka, Japan". I wonder if the song is next to being released? I went through his twitter and it was the first time he spoke about the song and it's been out for months already. (I mean, the performance)

I just hope that when she releases the single, the tracklist is not something like this:
- Cupcake feat. AKLO
- Promise you
- Another song with LALALALALA/PLC/Hashire! style (aka BRING IT ON)

At this point I'm so ansious for a single that if she puts only three tracks and they are Cupcake, Promise you and Wanderin' Destiny I would be already glad for it

I agree. Any single is better than no single for me. I need me some kuu! Shhh! just didn't do it for me unfortunately.

It's surreal knowing that in the past Kuu used to release her material so often until at times I couldn't keep up

I do hope she has something big planned for her 60th single , it's a milestone and it should be done well

What she did with 4 TIMES was stellar and it will be great if something like that can be replicated again

That she's preparing something we know because of the video by the end of the tour, with the "60th single" teaser, but that's pretty much it.

I like Shhh! and Cupcake a lot, but I try to not overplay them since I think they will be in the album and I don't want to have another 4 TIMES fiasco (where I played the songs way too much during the single release, and when she released JAPONESQUE I was pretty much done with the 4 tracks haha).

What makes me a little worried is how we know the girl likes to keep some things to herself, like FEVER and NEVER GIVE IT UP, which we didn't even know about it until LEGEND LIVE (we knew about Kimi Omoi tho), this video that I'm not so sure that it's an outtake of Get Up&Move!!



and even more that we don't even know. haha

If she's going to announce a summer single it'll be at the Kyoto dates tomorrow since she's filming for the DVD/WOWOW Broadcast. I hope we get a single announcement tomorrow because if not I'm 90% sure we're not getting a summer single this year or any normal single for the rest of the year even...

And also how it took Brave to be released after a zillion years later.

Say Her Name was supposed to be an A-side with a PV no? I remember they casted a guy and the guy even talked about it on his social media. That was before Love Me Back was released.

I would also LOVE a summer single from Kuu. Not only does summer scream Kuu, its also always been my favorite season. She legit makes my summers. I don't know if I can handle the heat without her.

She recorded Say Her Name in 2010, right after Gossip Candy. I don't think it was supposed to be an a-side, and they were casting for Bambi's PV. I think it was the guy with the ugly nose who talked on his social media.

And yeah, it took 4 years to Brave see the sunlight. haha Thank god they scrapped the double a-side stay with me/Brave. But it also took around 4 years to Swallowtail Butterfly to be released as well, so it's just the way that she works, I guess. Just like AT THE WEEKEND was supposed to be the single instead of POP DIVA, so yeah, she does those things quite often.

Well, there were some posts some weeks ago of her recording in studio, but as kaled pointed out it could either mean something is coming or not, so that's why I'd much prefer at least a "coming soon" banner so I could at least expect it and prepare my wallet for it

Oh, and I tweeted the Cupcake producer asking if he knew when the song was to be released, and he just liked my tweet, no answer =__=

Don't think so. Maybe there won't be a summer single ( as I we did get Shhh! already). But I don't think that means, there' s no single coming for the rest of the year as well. Maybe her 60th single is coming at the las tour date, on her birthday?
As she's showing it at the tour, I'm pretty sure it's coming this year.

Is this the first time that she doesn't have a summer song out? I know during her pregnancy she still manages to release the remix album with one new song, so I'm counting that lol.

Her summer songs since 4 times have been hit or miss for me personally, but I still enjoy the build up... And she's certainly released some of my fave tracks during the summer.

Is it normal that they are filming for the dvd release in the middle of the tour? I don't remember this being done before. Also the fact that they're not selling tickets for the final date on her birthday makes me curious, maybe a special final is being planned for this tour

Am I the only one who think it's pretty late for anouncing a summer single? This kind of releases used to be out between June-August and we have end of July in 2 days.

It woudn't be the first time that she would announce a summer single this late. As I said, 4 TIMES was released 08.17, so it was defnitely a late summer release, and it was announced in the last week of june. Summer trip and Hotel were announced three weeks prior the release, so we never know.

I don't think we have any official information about the tour being divided, some poeple speculated that because they are recording some footage now, but we're getting the footage in september, so it's natural that they are recording the concert now.

I can see a special final happening tho.
