Is it possible Summer love is the sixxxxxxx EDM reject?
To be honest, this track is SO J-POP and im sure it will have an insane atmosphere in the concert with everyone shouting I LOVE YOU and O O Os. Its fantastic! Of course it could have been a bada** EDM song but i think the idea of summer in the lighthearted chorus is really nice

And that take of her voice in basically a capella is so smooth and pure. It's miles better than her a capella in the album version of RED LINE.

I enjoy the new album, overall it is really good.
Not much to complain about, actually. Some songs are my cup of tea and others are not.

Breakdown's break down at the end was so epic. I love it when she does things like that! It makes the song so meaningful not just from the lyrics but from the actual properties of the song. and Yes...now that someone has mentioned, it DOES remind me of Shape of love. It feels like she is calling out but the transmission just dies at the end, into a scrambled beautiful mess. The final acapella line feels so lonely too. Very clever song

Now all I'm waiting for is tenshi_no_hane's translations HAHAHA

I've just listened to the first 3 tracks and am pretty blown away. This feels alot like "old Ayu" in many ways - its fairly experimental with great melodies. I'm loving the sound of these songs so far. The last album I completely loved from start to finish was Love Songs, maybe this one now can be added to that list?

I don't think it's an intentional thing but likely a similar sample use again as with the other tasuku interludes. Shamisen samples are always amazing though!

Flower has alot of great emotion.
Mad Love was amazing
Breakdown was Shape of Love and Ballad's beautiful child
Like Zeke said I too cracked up at Survivor (was she actually whispering Jungle?)
Her Vibrato in You are the only one was odd and it took me like a few seconds to realize she was actually saying you're the only one lol but it wasnt horribly jarring overall
Today is the album's weakest song. I couldn't even sit through it all.
I almost skipped Mr Darling too but the chorus is really cute
Summer Love started out really promising but that drastic change at the chorus didnt work for me. It might grow on me later

Overall, I'm disappointed the traditional Japanese instruments in the first 2 songs didn't make it into most tracks, but overall with only 1 cringeworthy song and the addition of Many Classic moments I have to say this is the first album in so long that I enjoyed almost fully. Thank you Ayu for not including Winter Diary.
