This year seems to be almost every Johnny group affected with bad publicity of all sorts from 1 end to another

Newspaper article talking about Okamoto's plans to study in New York

Okamoto told J&A he wanted to study abroad in March. He also discussed with the members. He went to NYC at the end of May to do an audition for the Academy and was accepted into the 2 year programme. He is going to learn various things like dance, vocal training, etc.

Hey! Say! JUMP's Okamoto Keito to study abroad in the U.S.

Hey! Say! JUMP member Okamoto Keito will be studying abroad in the United States beginning September.

In a video posted on the group's fan club site, it was announced that Okamoto would be attending The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in order to study acting, music, and English. He commented, "I will study hard in order to show everyone my growth, and I will definitely return to Hey! Say! JUMP."

The other members accepted Okamoto's decision to study abroad as he said he would be returning to the group upon finishing his studies. The group is scheduled to release their new single "COSMIC☆HUMAN" on August 1. Okamoto will be involved in any TV appearances related to the single. Furthermore, this year's concert tour will be held with only eight members.

HSJ will be performing in Hong Kong on 7th July as part of NTV's THE MUSIC DAY 2018 ~Tsuta Etai Uta~ live broadcast

7th July also happens to be Tanabata Matsuri in Japan

Not surprisingly , Okamoto is the only 1 that spoke English in the clip . Nakajima's wish for Tanabata is quite funny but at least it's quite realistic , Yamada's wish is a bit out of reach

Wow, a new single. Releasing on the same day as Leo Ieiri's (which I have ordered), but I'm not sure if I want to order it amidst the Keito Okamoto rumors. Considering how long in advance cover shots are done, and Johnny's haven't officially announced any word on Keito Okamoto, this could be interesting...

Even if Okamoto does leave at the end of the month , that should not stop you from continuing to support HSJ isn't it ?

Seems like your mentality in thinking is shallow , just because of 1 particular person that might leave the group

KAT-TUN if not NEWS lost several members over the years which's a really horrible feeling but that didn't stop long time fans from continuing to support them

You should have that same mindset too . If everyone all thinks like you , then both KAT-TUN & NEWS would have disbanded a long time ago

Huh no , HSJ themselves already confirm the news as true on Sat via their fanclub site o_O

And just like me , a lot of people are wondering if Okamoto will follow in Akanishi Jin's footsteps after he come back from New York :x
