I'm actually not so worried about the sales. I'm quite sure they will be good. They are Johnny's after all... ^^
I like "SIGNAL". Though I might like it somewhat less now. It can be a little repetitive at times, but it is a good song.

hmm, i don't know why i hate SIGNAL..
the 1st time makes me love KAT-TUN is real face... but now get boring.. i have heard yorokobi no uta a hundread time and i never fell bored with taht song.. perfect song...LOL do you like she said?? i love it too

Actually I get quite bored over Yorokobi no Uta already. But as for Real Face, I never get sick over at all. It was the first song that got me into KT. Till now, it's still my fav song of KT!! =)

I don't think I could ever get bored of Real Face =)
yay for KAT-TUN at getting no.1 ^^ (well I already figured they would but w/e XD) I think the first days sales are higher than NEWS and HS7's were >.< It will be awesome if they can break 300 on the first week again like they did with YnU ^^ |

I kinda agree with summersnow on "Yorokobi no Uta". Or maybe I just overplayed it. '^^a But it's a good song nonetheless. ^^

Johnny's like always debuts at #1 because they always release things during weeks when the competition isn't as bad. But I'm not surprised that KAT-TUN will hit #1 on both the single and DVD charts. Hmm, wonder when my stuff will get here, especially since it's Thanksgiving tomorrow...
In any case, the boys have been looking really fine in the latest magazines! I just noticed that Koki has dyed two small spots of his hair so they look like horns in pictures. It's adorable! |

YnU sold 371k from what i last remember. it's #5 on the ORICON yearly charts after "Love so sweet" w/ 423k, i think.
YnU was okay for me. i think it's my least favorite A-side, but i still think it's good. EDIT: KAT-TUN - 88358 (x1.75) = 154,627 awesome first day sales! it's said it's the highest first day sales since ORICON published them.  to compare: YnU : 69,659 weeeek : 64,068 Ultra Music Power : 47,092

I wonder what makes KAT-TUN so popular? Not that I'm saying it's bad or anything... By the way, does anyone know how many JE groups are in the ORICON top 10 yearly charts? It seems as if it would be full of JE. xD

there's a lot of factors to their popularity! they were initially a temporary backdancing group for Domoto Koichi & the KinKi Kids (you can see them in old KinKi Kids performances. SO CUTE!). they were formed back in 2001, creating a solid fanbase since then. made their "singing debut" at Tackey & Tsubasa's Hatachi con 2002. Jin/Kame in Gokusen 2. of course, there's Shuuji to Akira w/ Kame/Pi. their DVD "Live Kaizokuban" was a top-seller (it's in the Top 10 of overall best-selling Music DVDs!). they also had another Live DVD (i can never remember the title, it's so long!) & Photobook. and this was ALL PRIOR to the debut. it's quite amazing, ne? they've shattered all sorts of records when they were still Johnny's Juniors. and of course, their debut last year broke some more records.
i know Arashi #4 & KAT-TUN #5. there are more within the top 20, but the list i have is outdated. K8, NEWS, KinKi Kids are on it though.

I wonder if, well, Akame could have something to do with their popularity, too? I mean, usually JE acts sell REALLY well, but KAT-TUNs sales are just crazy. Of course good music and such, but I'm kinda surprised, because I thought "weeeek"s sales would be around "Keep the faith"s.
By the way, does anyone know good sites with galleries? I'm especially looking for Koki pics... ^^a
