[NEWS] Eason Chan critcises Ayu of Lip-synching

Well, well, in my mind ayumi sing in playback on some songs in her last concerts but it's my opinion so Eason's declarations could be true for me...

lol ^^ I know what I say, many friends think like me but many many fans doesn't believe us, it's ok. I would like Ayumi say a declaration about declarations but she will not. And if she will, she will confirm that sometimes she use playback but I doubt !

You know, when they put a concert on dvd, the first thing they do is to "normalize" the vocal as well as background music, therefore sometimes they don't seem lives.(normalize volume is making each part being at CONSTANT volume, it just like what they do to studio recording)

Common people used to determine whether it is live or by volume fluctuations. They THINK if there are volume fluctuations, that is live and vice visa.However, I must say that it is quite a misconception because normalization already eliminate volume fluctuations.

"Normalize" is actually a common technique in studio. They do the same to CD and tour DVD(in japan's case). That's why, you may sometimes find that the same song sung in TV live and DVD live sounds differently. Further, people sometimes even "erase" off-key notes. (Such kind of technique is extremely common and normal in post-processing.)

Take momets in ARENA tour 2003-2004 as example(it has been sung once/twice only over the tour). I have its REAL live recording(by cellphone), it sounds nothing like the one in DVD besides you can still distinguish they come from the same source. The one on DVD sounds perfect but the REAL one sounds...strange.




The only difference between post-processing of CD and that of DVD is that people don't make that much changes(modifications) as they make at CD.

Surely many of your friends (I may think they are french and never saw Ayumi in a real concert) believe that Ayumi uses playback a lot. I really don’t know where they found this, since many people who actually went to Ayumi concerts (fans???), said again and again that it’s not true. But let’s them think what they would like to think… it’s ok for me too (maybe not :p). Anyway it’s quite funny, Ayumi is lip-synching, but at the same time, Ayumi is always off-key, and Ayumi forgets her lyrics, and Ayumi is crying during her songs…

No offence M.A.X. but I am tired of the "playback" debate which run around all french websites and forums, will you and your friends realize that you can't judge on DVD?

Why not, but since I was there I can affirm that it was not in playback. And I have a proof of that, during independent, Ayumi felt dizzy a little. For AUDIENCE and evolution, no way! It was obvious that it was live! There is the voice of Ayumi in playback, as always but Ayumi sung over it, as always but it’s live.
For M, I know why you think that, anyway it’s not true; you hear a difference between duty and M because Ayumi have changed her microphone between the 2 songs...

Ayumi lip-synchs sometimes (it is the case for Ladies night yes), but only few times. The problem when you say lip-synching is that everybody will thing that she can’t sing, but what I can affirm after seeing her 10 times in concert, is that she can sing very very well in live even if she is dancing at the same time (well she can also sing bad… but now a day it is quite rare).

Finally, as said yamogi on DVD the vocals are normalized, but even in TV version there is some filters… We can’t judge on DVD… So I don’t know about the concert of Hong-Kong, I’m waiting for the opinion of people who went there.

LOL Beautiful Fighters wasn't lip synced, as you could clearly hear the parts when Ayu was out of breath, and the fact that Moments, CAROLS and rainy day sounded perfect doesn't mean they were l-sed.Consider the fact that she was JUST standing and doing nothing else but singing.

And yeah in 02-03 her voice was pretty bad, though I did like Heartplace^^.As for BoA's concerts, all the 3 arena tours and the LIVE seemed very much LIVE, though I was suspicious about Midnight Parade performance, but nothing is impossible, I mean has anyone watched any of Hitomi's CROSSOVER concerts, she sounds better than in the albums, and CROSSOVER lives ARE NOT lip-synced^^

huh u r from hong kong rite?u should know wat is tim sum~it's something like a breakfast which r steamed~there are many varieites to choose from~fish ball etc~and each of them will be placed ina round shape bamboo(or wooden) plate~chee cheong fun is also part of tim sum i guess~
