I just hope it sells more than Friends!
I don't think it would be a good sign if the album sells less than a single... especially since it's her first single to sell a bit better. If the album sells less than Friends it will mean that that single's sales were a one-time-thing, that it didn't sell because her popularity went up, right? Sigh... *crosses fingers*

Well Friends was the ending theme of that Gundam show, so I think that's why it sold so well. I don't know how much promotion her album got, but for an album of only 12 songs, only five of them being new, and no new PVs of the album tracks... it's selling better than I thought.

Edit: I looked on Wiki.theppn. On her article under filmography it says "[2009] Pride (プライド) (as Asami Shio (麻見史緒))"

Maybe her last name will finally be released in the credits .

Stephanie will be starring as the leading role in the movie Pride (プライド), based around the shoujo manga of the same name written by Ichijo Yukari (一条ゆかり). The manga was one of four winners of the 2007 Japan Media Arts Festival Awards' Prize for Excellence in Manga.

The story centres around two girls: Asami Shio (麻見史緒) and Midorikawa Moe (緑川萌). Shio is the daughter of a famous dead opera singer, blessed with beauty and talent who attends an elite music university. After graduating, she plans to take a study trip to Vienna. Moe is a poor fatherless girl who dreams of being an opera singer. The pair meet, and Moe is jealous of Shio. However, Shio's father goes bankrupt and the trip is cancelled, and the story is about the battle between these two girls.

The movie is planned to be released in late January, 2009. Stephanie's character is Asami Shio.

-Will be directed by Kaneko Shuusuke (金子修介), director of the Death Note movie.
-Stephanie is currently training extra hard for the performance. She says that she was first surprised at how different the world of acting is to singing, but she said that she eventually realised that the way to express yourself in both acting and singing is the same.
-She grew up listening to Japanese artists such as Amuro Namie.
-Pride also stars Mitsushika Hikari (満島ひかり) as Moe, and also features acting by Watanabe Dai (渡辺大) and Oikawa Mitsuhiro (及川光博).

Just heard Stephanie's album to the full and I gotta say that this album is just great!
I only didn't like kimi ga iru kagiri (well I liked only the chorus) but the rest are awesome!
I love her pop/rock oriented style and some are just pop and ballads which are really good! I really liked Friends, Fallin', Shiny Days!, Beyond Myself and Truth a lot!!!

She really doesn't deserve such low sales.
