Actually no one can complain about her attitude to her fans there, she looked really happy and smile alot yesterday, much than the last 2 times in 2004 & 2007, and that's close enough to her fan in a Namie way, every artist is different, just like the way Namie wont wear cute outfits like ayu, b/c she's just she is .

Ok, so she was happy and smiling in a cutesy little clip at the airport, what does that prove? And of course no one can complain about an artist on their blog or website. Avex's headquarters keeps an watchful eye on all their artists websites to prevent nay-sayers from ruining their marketing. That goes for any major record company.

And I've read many a blog about actual fans complaining about her uncanny "Diva" behavior let alone countless reporters. Heck, a friend of mine went to one of her "BEST FICTION" tour concerts in Japan with friends and even they testified to her behavior. Its not like I'm pulling this info right out of my you-know-what. I'm a fan of her too and I'm not going to be biased just because I am her fan. Like I said I'm not judging her I'm just calling it what it is.

Yeah I've heard that she's sweet and shy too but everyone has two sides to their personality, it's human nature. Heck I'm shy in person too and I also have my moments.

Ehm..since when? XD Namie is one of the most down on earth artist I know.

Everyone knows that she is shy and that's why she is nice probably (in every interview you can read about the fact she is shy).

Anyway I also remember some years ago in Taiwan she arrived in the airport and her bodyguards didn't arrive yet so many fans followed her and she needed to run without guards and she hurted herself with a glass door.

PS = I also went to her BEST FICTION tour and so did 2 of my friends, she is absolutely down-on-earth one XD

Well of course Namie is going to be loving and caring to her fans in the forefront. But like I said I have read many accounts of her behavior in the past and I did not believe it either until I spoke with a former high school friend of mine who currently attends Sophia University in Japan. And he told me that J artists just like any world artists have their moments and are blasted in the Japanese media for it. Of course the news dies down after a while but fans still gossip about it. No artist is going to act cheerful and polite 24/7 that's just physically impossible. Thinking so is just being plain naive.

I still have respect for her as an artist, watching that clip reminded me of what I my friend told me and what I've read online that's all. No need to bring out the Namie Brigade.

Completely agree with you, but it's not just the "Artist", but anyone else in this word.

I personally know some dancers who danced with her in tours and videos (some of them were temporary, others were long term Namie's dancers...and some of them are my teachers now) and I can assure you she is a good person and very shy..

They didn't say the same of other artists though XD (Even though they said Koda Kumi is super funny and that's good to hear *_*)

It's not an assumption it's a fact. And her dancers let alone anyone else are not around her 24/7 to make that claim.

Have a no no moment in front of the fan doesnt mean the artist has a history of behaving like a total diva..you make it sound like she does (and did) that ALL the time.

Juicy: yeah she look pale but I think (and hope) it's just the flash..because in the previous picture (and in the news report video) her skin color is just normal.

And if you've read my past posts clearly you would have read that these claims are also reported to magazines in Japan in which are scanned and transpired onto the internet and actual Japanese citizens comment about these incidents on their blogs. And she has had many incidents of outlandish behavior not just in front of fans obviously.
In the past she's even apologized and discussed these issues. So I know what I'm talking about. Of course not everyone (including you) is going to know about these incidents because Avex does not want her reputation to deteriorate so they dismiss these issues in a timely manner. I stated everyone has their bad moments because I didn't want to make it seem as if I had a vendetta against her. Well you have to expect people to question you when you throw all of this "research" and "facts" out without a source. Being on a discussion forum your posts are liable for questioning.

Can you honestly call other people naive when you are probably just quoting probably old tabloid articles? With all due respect, drama seems to follow Ayu wherever she goes and nothing like that is reported about Namie as far as I can see. Granted, I think tabloids blow everything out of proportion. You cannot quote magazine articles that probably come from tabloids and cite them as facts! I would be more convinced by you if you actually cited certain incidents, or if they were really big incidents at all or just something blown out of proportion by the media or a bitter fan.

Namie was taking pictures with her fans as the background so you cannot say that she does not care about them. Saying things like that isn't fair just because Ayumi is a more open person. Some people aren't, but they show their affection in different ways. A lot of people want that kind of approachable and talkative pop star but just because they aren't as talkative as certain others doesn't mean that they don't appreciate their fans just as much. I found it interesting that you spent so much time trying to make Namie out to be a "diva" here when I never read about her showing that kind of behavior.

I have read from many second-hand accounts how polite she is, and Taiwan media just recently said how nice she was compared to other celebrities, when in a restaurant. Media likes to find little things to fault stars for... so for them not to find something with Namie is very telling I think. She comes across as very down-to-earth in interviews and appearances, especially when she is put next to a perfect example of a diva- Mariah Carey. If there's anyone who has a "I'm better than you" attitude, it's her. She was on an episode of Utaban of Namie and treated her like dirt and Namie was just so polite. All of this added up just makes it hard for me to believe such "accounts" of diva-ness. Whatever happened, which was probably in the past, everyone has bad days- that doesn't make them divas. And if she apologized for whatever she did, then why even bring it up? Being a demanding, high-maintenance, snobby beish just because you are a star makes you a diva, and Namie is certainly the opposite of a diva from what I see and hear of her from a multitude of persons. I think many people need to understand this huge difference instead of just throwing the word around because I think it really gives the wrong idea.

sorry for the tldr; post- just had to give my two cents here.

I couldn't imagine Namie of all people being a diva at all... I'd expect that from Ayu more than Namie...
