I actually really like this song. It took a few seconds for me to really get into it, though.

I'm glad Ayu wrote an upbeat song for her deceased friend, as opposed to another ballad (like "untitled ~for her~"). It sounds like she's really focusing on the happy times, the good times, as opposed to just mourning

Usually though songs that the japanese love are songs that westerners love less or hate and when westerners love it, and they hate it or like it less. XDD
