Johnny & Associates Members Leave Messages Regarding The Disaster
HSJ We pray for the safety of those affected by this major earthquake. All of us Hey! Say! JUMP members are safe. For everyone who worried about us, please rest easy. Every day ,we’re all really surprised by the damage we see on TV and in the newspapers. It’s made us feel incredibly sad. The things we can do right now doesn’t seem like very much, but we hope that our singing and dancing can bring energy and strength to those who are affected by this disaster, as well as to everyone all over Japan. And in addition to that, we can also conserve electricity and water… When the littlest things add up, it can help a whole lot. Let’s start doing what we can now. Even now we’re still in a dangerous state. Let’s work together with our family and friends so we can overcome this just a bit quicker. - Hey! Say! JUMP (Yamada Ryousuke, Chinen Yuuri, Nakajima Yuuto, Morimoto Ryuutarou, Okamoto Keito, Arioka Daiki, Takaki Yuya, Inoo Kei, Yaotome Hikaru, Yabu Kouta) NYC Right now, various places are damaged throughout Japan and when we see the news on TV, it’s really heartbreaking… We sincerely pray that the victims are safe…. We heard that a lot of fans were worrying about us. We, NYC, and the Hey! Say! JUMP members are safe with no injuries. So please don’t worry. However, all of this damage is the reality of Japan and we can’t turn our eyes away from it. As it gets colder, there are people there with only a little bit to drink and only a little bit to eat. The things we can do now are really small things, but… Even if it’s small, conserve electricity so that we can diffuse it to the areas that are damaged. We hope that food and goods can be sent to that region as soon as possible. And, We want to do something to give them cheer and smiles… Even something small is okay… If you don’t try, then it’s no good… When we combine our hearts together, even if it’s something small, one thing becomes two, two things become three and then we can do something big. Hereafter, we’ll continue thinking more about what things we can do to help. People can’t be relieved just yet. We can all call out to others around us about this and overcome this together… We’ll keep this hope until the very end, and we’ll never throw it away. Let’s all do our best together and be helpful. So that we can see everyone’s smiling faces once again… We, NYC, pray for everyone’s safety. - NYC (Nakayama Yuuma, Yamada Ryousuke, Chinen Yuuri) http://www.tokyohive.com/2011/03/joh...ictims-part-2/

They say that we're "still in a dangerous state," particularly that nuclear issue. Hopefully they'll get safe through that besides the earthquake also.

Every Johnny’s talent to take part in relief project Johnny’s & Associates will launch a new relief project involving every one of their talents to support the victims of the Japan earthquake, it was revealed on March 19, reports Sponichi Annex and Sports Hochi. It has been reported the project will include a charity CD sale and events. On March 18, a truck originally intended to transport concert equipment, instead transported everyday needs like disposable baby diapers and disinfectant to affected areas in Iwate prefecture. Johnny’s talents Hideaki Takizawa (28), Tsubasa Imai (29), and Yuma Nakayama (17) helped to load the goods onto the truck. “Our fans have supported us, now we want to give something back to them,” Imai said. “If we can help motivate people to do something by doing it ourselves, I think there’s a need for all of us (at Johnny’s) to get together and ask our fans to help out as well,” Takizawa said. Following the 1995 Kobe earthquake, 13 Johnny’s talents from the Kansai region, or with connections to Kansai had formed “J-FRIENDS” (TOKIO, KinKi Kids, and V6). The special group released CDs and held performances to raise money for earthquake victims. It has been reported that other talents had said they wanted to help out if another charity group were to be formed, and it is expected that this project will be bigger than ever. The group will even include Johnny’s senior Masahiko Kondo, Shonentai, SMAP, and Arashi. http://momoedgewood.wordpress.com/20...elief-project/ === Johnny’s to perform power-saving concerts from April Johnny’s talent concerts will resume in April, but only using one-tenth of normal electricity power, reports Asahi Shimbun and Daily Sports Online. Duo Tackey & Tsubasa and NYC’s Yuma Nakayama had been helping load goods onto a truck bound for earthquake and tsunami victims in northern Japan. “The entire agency started this, we’ll support them to the end. “If we work hard enough, we can perform a concert any time. What’s important now is to help those in need,” Takizawa said. It has been reported a typical Johnny’s concert needs 3000-kilowatts of electricity. Concerts will resume on April 1, but only using a fraction of this power. “We’ll get through it by putting more of ourselves into it . We’ll take electricity into consideration,” Imai said. Tokyo is still experiencing power shortages brought about by the Fukushima nuclear power plant disaster and residents and companies are being urged to cut down on unnecessary power use. http://momoedgewood.wordpress.com/20...ts-from-april/

Johnny & Associates announces earthquake relief project, “Marching J”, feat. all talents
Johnny & Associates have announced the creation of an earthquake relief project called “Marching J“, which will feature the participation of all Johnny & Associates talents. The project was named by president Johnny Kitagawa, and the “J” stands for both ‘Japan’ and ‘Johnny’s’. Mr. Kitagawa says, “I put the meaning of ‘Let’s walk together toward the recovery.” Although Johnny & Associates housed a relief unit, “J-FRIENDS“, for 1995’s Great Hanshin Earthquake, it was only comprised of TOKIO, KinKi Kids, and V6. This time, however, “Marching J” will involve all the agency’s talents – it’ll mark the first in-house collaborative project since the company’s founding in 1962. Mr. Kitagawa explained, “It was that big of a disaster. We need to get together, and take actions to make our hearts as one.” He also revealed that there were many talents who were willing to do something for the disaster relief. The first event for “Marching J” will be through a fundraiser, which will be hosted in front of the First Gymnasium at the Yoyogi National Stadium. The event will run from April 1st to the 3rd, from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Including Johnny’s Jr. boys (and trainees), there will be over 100 talents participating the event under the slogan, “Use our energy without using electricity“. Talk segments will also be held at the event. Mr. Kitagawa also stated that the project does not have a set time limit, nor will this be a one-time event. He said, “We will continue to do some kind of activity every month until the end.” http://www.tokyohive.com/2011/03/joh...t-all-talents/

Hey! Say! JUMP’s Yaotome Hikaru talks about his family
Hey! Say! JUMP member Yaotome Hikaru attended the “Marching J” charity event held by Johnny & Associates on April 1st. The fund raising event was very special to Hikaru since he’s originally from the Miyagi prefecture. Hikaru said that right now his family is living in the evacuation shelters, and also mentioned that his older brother is staying at the company workplace. He wants his brother to see how hard he’s working. He also admitted that that his family actually lives in the mountain side of Miyagi-ken but communication is cut-off so he worries a lot. The apartment, where his older brother and wife live, in Tagajo-shi was damaged by tsunami and earthquake. The first floor is flooded and they have no gas or water. His sister-in-law took refuge in his parents house along with her child, while the brother is residing in the company house. Though, Hikaru is particularly concerned for his 4-year old niece and 6-year old nephew. Hikaru hasn’t been able to reach any of his friends and wants to go back there as soon as possible. He really wants to do something for them all and is thankful for the “Marching J” project. http://www.tokyohive.com/2011/04/hey...ut-his-family/
