@BonnieMcKeee just confirmed on BBC Radio that she wrote a song with KP called "Wide Awake" that's going to be on The Complete Confection!

For those that don't know, Bonnie McKee is the co-writer of songs like Last Friday Night, Teenage Dream, and Part of Me.

Really exciting. I wonder what type of song Wide Awake will be. I want Teenage Dream Part 2, lol.

Next week, she might debut at #1 on Hot 100! Everyone request the song on your radio stations if you live in the US, and buy the song on iTunes!

She is so powerful on the charts. I'm thinking that she might even get all #1's from the songs she releases as singles from Confection.

Katy Perry's new "Part of Me," which was released digitally to retailers on Monday, Feb. 13, is heading for a debut sales week of around 400,000 to 420,000 downloads by week's end on Sunday, Feb. 19 -- so say industry prognosticators. That would mark the pop diva's best debut sales frame and the highest opening week for any act since Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" sold 448,000 on the chart dated Feb. 26, 2011, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Perry premiered "Part of Me" in a performance on the Feb. 12 Grammy Awards ceremony -- much like how Gaga launched "Born This Way" a year ago on the Feb. 13 Grammys (two days after the single hit digital retailers). Songwriter Bonnie McKee opens up to MTV News about the "real" songs she's writing with Perry.

"I've been working with Katy Perry a lot more, so I'm excited for what we have coming out next," she explained.

"I'm working with Katy and it's great," she continued. "I'm really excited and I think everyone is going to really relate to and love what she's doing next. It's kind of a departure from what she's been doing in the past. We are a great team when we write together because we don't let each other settle; every single line is a philosophical debate."

"She's going through some major life changes, so it's not all about bubble gum and fun; it's real and it's deep and she has a lot to say. So I think people are anxious to hear it," she said, adding that while there are those people who are rooting for the star, there will also always be the haters.

I would be so excited if she immediately jumped into the lead single of her next album after releasing the last single from the re-release. (Example: Rihanna's "Cheers", and then immediately going into "We Found Love".)

I like how all the other artists depend on controversies, fights, and what not, while Katy laughs all her way to the top of the charts lol

I guess she somehow deserves it, and I like how she makes happy pop music and not the "serious", artistic and cold pop like Gaga or Rihanna do.
