When PQ covers came out, there was the divide where the Western fans didn't like them and Japanese fans were saying stuff like "how cute!" etc, but it didn't translate into sales....

ouch...as far as i think the marketing for the previous two SINGLES were terrible...i dont think Ayu needs such harsh words..esp asking her to die? wth?
on one hand, I would like that she would care and actually understand what her fans feel but definitely not in such a manner.

I hope theres promotion for this. I mean, even her official facebook has updated the cover photo and profile pic. which is rather early I would say? And i guess there's a reason why again wasn't even promoted much at all then..because it was gonna be put here

but to treat it as mini album, i'm sure a lot of buyer feels cheated by it...

lololol DEARS (GACKT's fandom) have even more crap every once in a while like half of it calling him sexist and then the other half arguing that he's not, getting totally pissed that people disslike something or that they comment too much on his hair instead of music; weird stans, even weirder than Ayu's poping up with best-seller-worth stories, so called elitist fans, fanclub material sharing massacres and so on and so forth xD people LEFT/leave the fandom because of that, with Ayu's fandom it's kinda just "like" "disslike" kinda stuff..... with DEARS, there are wars xD

however I have only seen fans tweeting GACKT directly that they disslike something about his music or somethign with his carrer like twice maybe..while with Ayu, they spil a load of crap on her every time she/avex does a stupid mistake. It's actually sad....

I'm not that active on here, so I don't if this has been said before - but did anyone write her a polite message in TA, explaining why fans are upset?

I mean, obviously the twitter comments are way over the top, but apart from that she said she didn't want discussions on there anyway, right? So I doubt it will help as she declared TA being her site to communicate about problems.

As everyone said already, it's not about the content or the new album (which really is quite a nice package to me), but about the way this was promoted. It was just mishandled, and "LOVE" as well as "again" had false advertisement. Saying they were "mini albums" not "singles" having original content.
Same goes for "You & Me" on A SUMMER BEST, which was said to be on there exclusively, too.
If they had labeled "LOVE" and "again" as preludes to the new album to begin with (like they do now on her official homepage), no one would feel betrayed now.

If I'd be in ayu's position and read such tweets as mentioned above, I wouldn't want to communicate about the problem anymore, plainly because of the way the complaints are written. Just so hurtful. This inconsiderate behaviour is what kills every mature discussion.

+1. What shocked me is not the fact that people was against LOVE again but the words that certain people used.
I hope Ayu didn't see these bad tweets or she might be in a bad/sad mood to do CDL & ruin it.

I agree with you 100%. I don't care how mad people are about the way she decided to release the mini-albums and the album, it doesn't warrant comments wishing for her to die. At the end of the day, it's just a material object that is not a need and whoever that person is, is wishing for her to be dead, which is something that is permanent. That's disgusting and nothing to joke about. Whoever made that comment as well as the unneccesarily rude comments that went too far need to get a grip. Let's be real here, the majority of her sales and revenue in all aspects (concerts, goods, DVDs, etc.) come from her Japanese fanbase in Japan. And if they are saying that they are going to purchase the album, that's probably what's most important to them anyways because international purchases count for a small percentage of her sales overall. If I were Ayu, I wouldn't respond to those types of comments either and I hope she doesn't take them to heart. Whatever responses that you were all hoping to get from her, even if they were reasonable, were probably blown away by idiots like that.

Ayu/Avex never listens to fans, there's no point. The reason why Ayu's career is how it is now is because Ayu doesn't really compromise or adapt.
