Wow, I relate to so much in her post! I respect her even more now for doing all that she does and being so successful even with her insecurities. She's really an inspiration!

Jolin has been quite vocal about her insecurites for the past few years now*, about how she gained her confidence back, singing about acceptance, confidence, and self-love (EGO-HOLIC...). She's reading lots of self-help and psychology books and stuff.

*Her speech during Myself World Tour for instance.

When I care too much about those voices, I have no idea what is happiness, I forget to share with my family, what I want, who I am.
But when I overcame this challenge I was willing to place myself on stage and share with everyone. And thank you.
I especially want to thank my team. Actually, I'm under tremendous stress and my team is stressed out as well. Without them, there would be no good product. I will not credit all the goodness to myself. Because without them, I would not be able to stand here.
Hence, I am sincerely very thankful towards all the colleagues whom have ever worked with me.
Thank you for all your contributions. It's not easy to be a singer and dancer. Although dancing is tough but to open my heart and talk about myself is an even tougher task. I usually need to arm myself and stand strong in front of you. I hope that anyone who recalls me in the future will remember that I am the toughest.
I want to sing this song ("I") and dedicate it to myself.

EDIT:
By the way, Namie's concert gave Jolin some exposure in Japan. Most of recent comments on the MV are in Japanese, and the song is charting at the moment on iTunes JP at #60, #57 on recochoku, and #33 on mu-mo !

Jolin is right now at Milan Fashion Week, she attended Bvlgari's event and after party yesterday. She has also been appointed as the new spokesperson of Bvlgari in Greater China (Mainland China, Macau, Taiwan, Hong Kong) !

She will leave Milan tomorrow for Paris Fashion Week, and attend GUCCI's show on September 24th.

The clothes she wore at GUCCI show were men's clothes it seems, she was very glad to be able to break gender’s boundaries and “interpret different feelings”.

Thanks to her performance with Namie in Okinawa, Jolin has been invited to perform at the ASIA FASHION AWARD 2018 in Taipei on December 1st !

EDIT: Weird though... According to Taiwanese media, Jolin has been invited because the Japanese organizers have been impressed by her performance in Okinawa. But when you look at AFA's official Instagram, Jolin was already booked for the show in early September... Anyway.

Jolin has already stated in the past though that she has no interest in entering a new music market:

I remember that a few years ago Show Luo quite successfully debuted in Japan (unlike Jolin he speaks Japanese), but he cancelled suddenly all his activities -and even a Japan Tour- because of tense relationships between Japan and China. His Japanese career has been totally dead afterwards unfortunately. I wonder if that's still the case (I'm talking about the tense relationship) ?

I'd say there still is a tense relationship.
Japan and China are always arguing over something, unfortunately. It always comes back to 'who owns what' islands
Not to mention Chinese people living in Japan statistically encounter the most racism than any other foreign group of people in the country. (I think along with Korean people)

I think it's changing with the younger generations.

But I don't know if that's also the case with Taiwanese people.

I miss Show Luo's Japanese stuff!
It was good overall and much more to my liking than the ballad heavy Chinese releases. And his Japanese is really good indeed.
As Jolin can't speak any Japanese, she has aboslutely no chance of making it in Japan, despite the racism barrier. So from that side it's good she doesn't want to branch out.

Jolin's new album will mostly be upbeat, its 11 songs will be released all at once.
There is a least one rap/hip hop song. It might confirm previous rumors that she has a collaboration coming with singer Kris Wu (his music style is pop/hip hop/rap).
