https://www.barks.jp/news/?id=1000176634 https://www.excite.co.jp/news/article/E1577225076880/ 5,000 people attended last night's KEN HIRAI Ken’s Bar Special!! in SHANGHAI and it's the 4th time Ken brought his Ken's Bar concert overseas Sept 2002 - Taiwan Aug 2010 - New York Aug 2018 - New York Last night's concert was not only Ken's 1st Ken's Bar concert in China but it was also the 1st time he performed during Christmas Eve Ken briefly spoke Mandarin in the 1st MC which he introduced himself as so in Mandarin x) With last night being Christmas Eve , the mascots from POP STAR was not only wearing the green outfits from the PV but also a Santa Claus outfit xD Last night's setlist was the 1st Ken's Bar setlist that consist only of Ken's original material ie. no covers are in For the encore , Ken was only back up by an acoustic guitar ie. for Non Fiction & #302 And Ken concluded the concert with Gaining Through Losing & he knows that F4 from the 1st Mandarin drama adaption of Hana Yori Dango covered it x)

Yeah I didn't realised yesterday was the 1st Ken's Bar setlist that didn't had any covers Ken performed until the reports pointed that out xD
I'm more curious to hear Ken briefly speak Mandarin cos that's not an easy language for Japanese to master :x It's great that Ken concluded the concert with Gaining Through Losing , it's still 1 of his best under rated album tracks Let alone it's also surprising Ken name dropped the fact that the Mandarin drama adaptation of Hana Yori Dango sung the Mandarin version of Gaining Through Losing which's quite funny Then again , it's no coincidence the Japanese drama adaptation of Hana Yori Dango starred ARASHI's MatsuJun as the lead = Ken's closet admiration for ARASHI as he used to name drop Kitto Daijoubu years ago during Ken's Bar 2006 xD

Sony Japan has released the Liner Notes on Kaibutsu-san
On Kaibutsu-san - Ken wanted an attention grabbing song title so he settled on Kaibutsu-san - Song intro is retro electropop - Song is 4 minutes 4 seconds - Song is written & composed by Ken . Lyrically it's sung from a woman's perspective, just like Elegy & Shiranai ne Desho? - Aimyon appeared as a guest on Ken's radio show back in 2017 & from then on , they became friends http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/artist/KenHirai/info/516846
