Wow...this thread has gotten completely out of control.

Accusing her of lipsynching isn't the worst thing in the world. She's done it before. She probably did for a couple songs during this tour. But who cares, as long as her show was entertaining.

Anyway,I would like to defend Eason Chan =)

Why? First of all, he's a professional singer. He has the ability to judge one's voices. We are ONLY fans, and what he meant by lip synch 1/3 of the concert is just an approximation, and purely judgemental. If he slept 2/3 of the concert, his 1/3(lip synching) is 1/9 of those who paid full attention. For those of you who said it's an insult sleeping during Ayu's concert. Hey, he said "He's tired the days before due to work,etc" . If you put yourself in his shoes, you will be pretty exhausted then.

And for those of you who say Eason Chan sing badly or what. He won awards (major ones, i couldn't remember, but you are really interested, go do some google search. And he's got some great singing technique).Unless you have a prove, or else don't even make a post and attempt to insult him. And when the hell did he take drugs? Evidence please.
And Eason no need to be jealous of Ayu. He have a huge number of fans too =) And most importantly, he sing chinese songs, and Ayu sing pretty pony~pretty pony~pretty pony~ songs, where the hell would there be a jealousy? Funny dudes.

And Eason Chan being ugly? Hahas, physical insult, just like how in your opinion EC is insulting Ayu of lip-synch. If he's ugly, i bet you are no where handsome neither.

What i have said is true, and Ayu sang well, serious. And lip-synch is oftenly inevitable. In order not to embarass yourself or losing voice temporarily , lip-synch can help alot. And if you are comparing live performances in the past with the present. Please, look ahead. IT'S TWO DIFFERENT PERFORMANCE.

And why you do guys get so worked up after a comment made by EC?
If we know by heart that Ayu is a great singer, his comment(to you) is just completely ********.

Hong Kong singers are not the best at all. Most are only hyped publicity fame.
Their fame are based on the size of the marketing. And there is a flood of so many singers that second rate singers get to become the better ones because of the statistics. Based on my experiences. I have heard so many Cantonese singers through the years that I must say only a handful of the hundreds are good singers/artists. Furthermore, eason even though he has a good public share in his home court and considerable hits under his belt and is known to have been described as having 'skills' in wikipedia, is not at all skilled in his singing in my opinion. Most Hong Kong singers are manufactured. That's just the way it is in Hong Kong. And awards are not the best basis for good songs. I know of a lot of singers in Hong Kong that won awards that made me scratch my head. I would not go into specifics but I will say that there are real good singers from Hong Kong, but I can say that not all famous ones are good. And there are many, many, many famous singers in Hong Kong.

*I am Chinese and I have been listening to a lot of Chinese(Mandarin and Cantonese) singers for all of my life. ( I must admit that I have wasted a lot of money on Cantonese cds that are not great at all just because of curiosity, pretty face(female artist cover), top ten rankings......) Chinese (Mandarin) singers are easier to choose because they are more universally appealing.

I wouldn't get angry. Lots of singers lip-synch, and i thought it's inevitable.. singing for hours and dancing around.. sooner or later when you're out of breath, you lip-synch and at the same time gather enough energy so you can continue to sing =)

And the grasshoppers... i don't care about them...
They can go hop around in a green field or what, since they are not at the concert themselves.

Which is exactly why we shouldn't make this a huge deal...

First of all, if you've seen the video, Eason only said it in a non-arrogant tone.
It's how the news media manipulated it, that made us feel the way we are now.

So please, if you guys just think about it, flaming him and all will only damage Ayu's reputation, not heal it.

Think optimistically, we all know that Ayu rarely lip-sync, and no matter what other people say, it will not disrupt our love for Ayu's music.

Yes. However, even BoA's concerts aren't 100% live. (They're like ~90%?)

1. I think Uranus meant "Life Continues" sold 40,000 copies. Because I have read the newspaper and they showed the sales of the albums that were released in 2006 and Eason's album was ranked 2nd yearly. "Get a Life" was a live album and sold less than 5,000 copies in HK as it was no where in the yearly ranking.

2. His last Mandarin album "How?" was released in November of 2005 and it did poorly as it was off the ranking in two weeks after it was released. Ken Hirai's album was released the same week and debuted at #2 and stayed on the ranking for a long time. It obviously sold more than Eason's album. So I guess that's where his jealousy of JPOP singers come from. Of course, that's probably just one of the reasons.

Eason and Mariam yeung was filming outdoor for a movie. Regarding about the incident about eason suspecting ayu lipsyncing in her concert, which caused alot of net ppl refusing to by his records. When eason was asked about the incident, he responded: that day I said she was a demeanor skill complete singer, other matters I do not want again to respond, I dont want to expand the matter.

Mariam yeung: who doesnt lip sync, went to ayus concert said the show was specticular and she was very happy, worth the money. In October, she will also have a concert, with hot dancing and singing. After watching ayu hot dancing and singing, she thinks what ayu did is difficult. Mariam also said, after filming the movie, she will completely go train breath/air. (I guess go get trained how to control and build up air while singing and dancing, etc) when she was asked if she would lip sync, she responded : ofcourse not, I will go to training and if I will lip sync what is the point of training and practicing?!
