I kind of expected that Greeen would do this... At least they both kept the top 10 positon this far!

OMG I'm so happy at GReeeeN's sales

I never expect it will beat the 1st week sales of their 2nd album & I love their new record a hell lot more than their 1st 2 albums

Hikari , Sora e no Tegami , Fubouta are some of my fave new tracks on Shio , Koshou -SALT & PEPPER-

at least it hasn't dropped yet with respect to both albums

correction Jun Xiang , they're NOT a boyband , they're a quartet who work as dentists on the sideline (except for 1 who's still stuck in dental school)

I frankly think that their music's great & the lyrics are so smart , as evident in Kiseki , Haruka , Setsuna

^ Heh, I stereotyped I guess (apology to all GReeeeN fans!)... but still, I think if GReeeN became a solo girl with the same kind of lyrics and songs... the sales would definitely be lower. I may be wrong, but this is what I've noticed all these while... that boys, especially those in a group, tend to sell much better for some reason~

well GReeeeN's different from all the other 'boy bands' out there in Japan . I guess you can even label 1 of my fave jrock indie bands at the mo aka flumpool a 'boyband' if you want (even though they're not up there in the looks department but music wise SUPER ACE material <3)

Nobody knows how GReeeeN looked like & they cite their reason for not showing their faces because of their dentistry profession & their music's rojak in the sense that they combine elements of pop , rap , dance , electro & rock

but still they make great & excellent music & they have some very meaningful tunes/lyrics such as their breakthough hit Ai Uta , their biggest hit to date Kiseki & most recently Haruka

they didn't got the 10th most sold album of 2008 for nothing & it was certified Million by RIAJ , something that their debut album didn't received at all

And just like that, NL's been pushed back in the yearly rankings. Oh well, as long as it doesn't drop out of top 10!

probably not

There's still ARASHI whom I'm waiting to release their 10th anniversary best album

depending on JStorm's part , it might or might not gate crashed the top10 since Johnny's selling power for albums generally suck but it might not be the case for ARASHI whom has been on the roll since last year after they put out Step and Go

that's true , her past 2 albums didn't got into the top 10 yearly which's unfortunate

depending on who else's going to put out new albums this year I guess but at the moment , NEXT LEVEL's secured in the top 10 for now

it sold about 364,748 so far at this point in time if I'm not mistaken

Yeh, most boybands are from JE, really. But since JE album selling power is low, I don't think it's worth too much considering (but there are surprises.)

And the other bands with great album selling power I know of are Mr. Children, B'z, GReeeeN, EXILE... I don't think it should be anything surprising if NEXT LEVEL isn't in the top 10 this year.
