i can't stop playing the sukiyanen osaka clip. arashi's faces (especially sho's) were just priceless

Then you must never watch TV. haha.
Everyone has heard of Arashi, but there are still plenty of people who don't know them individually. Kohaku is one of the most watched shows in Japan annually, its like a New Years tradition so a lot of people who don't usually watch music shows tune in for Kohaku. So Kohaku really is the best place to introduce the individual members.

About the performance itself: It was awesome! They actually got the Kohaku audience fired up, which is no easy feat. People were yelling things at the stage long after they finished, even men! lol. That costume change too was like woah where did that come from?

it was probably done on purpose since Eito aren't bad when comes to the singing department

they're jokers at heart too

I usually don't post in the JE threads because they move too fast but OMG at the "One Love" performance. Everyone in the Dome was like D: --> haha? LOL.
Too bad the camera didn't catch everyone's reactions because it was pretty funny.

I learned just how much I loved Arashi after Countdown. They're so cute! And really super professional, which makes me like them more. During the CM break time, producers and staff would talk to them about what to do next and Nino even ran across stage to make his marks. Cute!
I think their group uchiwa was first to sell out. The lines were massive even when I got there at 8am. Didn't get to the actual goods til like 10:30 and girls were buying multiples of Arashi.

^Yeah, Arashi rule over Johnnys and the rest of Japan. Cool, that you went to the Countdown. I always wonder what I'm missing during the commercials. Could you tell us a little about it? Like when does it start, how long does it take, and what happens besides the stuff you see on TV? I would be really greatful. How do you get tickets anyway? Over the individual fanclubs? Like they divide the tickets equally between the Fanclubs?

I don't think the Johnny's Threads are moving fast though. It's always the same people posting and we're still much slower than some other threads.

Thanks Beauty!
2011? Woah, long time to go. I'll probably watch it because of hot-Nino-action. (that was a small glimpse of him in the cm, right?) The story doesn't interest me at all and I hate the character Nino is playing. *lol* Ooku on the other hand, I cannot wait for - must-see.

yup, i think that's nino (he looks good even for a few seconds ). i think the guy in front of him is the other actor - matsuyama kenichi. i'm soo excited for this movie even though i know NOTHING about the manga. only for arashi will i watch anime/manga related things, lol.

^I started looking into the story when I heard Nino would be involved. It's nothing I would seek out otherwise. And the character Nino plays is a whiny idiot, imho. But maybe they will change that in the movie. Why are they having CM's already, when it's coming to the cinemas in 2011? Makes no sense to me.

it's like teasers...they're just putting out these small CMs to build up hype for the movie, even though it won't be out until a year later, lol. just publicity/marketing tactics, i guess.

Mai82go - What you're missing between the CM's is more performances by each group. They perform a part of a song depending on how long they are given for the CM. On the screens at Dome, they show the live broadcast of the CM about 5 seconds before the cameras go back to the concert so that Arashi knew when to be ready. This year, there was a mini-concert that began around 10:50pm and went for like 35-40min I guess (no Arashi as they were in transit). And yeah, I'm fanclub so that's how we go tix.

^thanks so much for those insights, devilayu. Does it matter which FC you're in? It makes sense though that the actual show is longer than what we see on TV, I mean, people at the Dome would want more than just barely an hour of concert.

Johnnys Jimusho could make more money if they would produce Countdown DVD's. Sometimes, I just don't get their marketing strategies.
