KAT-TUN’s Kamenashi Kazuya is aiming to be a beauty-charisma. There are even plans for him to publish a make-up book.

“People in the industry have always praised Kame for his make-up skills. There was even a rumor that leaked about how Kame’s professional make-up artist quit because he/she saw how great Kame was with a make-up brush and lost his/her confidence in cosmetology.” Said an entertainment insider.

Kame came up with his own make-up technique by himself. He has even claimed that he would never let a pro teach him how to put on make-up. This interest in make up has even spawned some cross-dressing rumors in the past.

“When he has a day off, he’d dress up in women’s clothing and make-up by himself. He enjoyed those times immensely, so he wasn’t concerned about becoming good at it.”

Tabloids claimed that Kame first developed his interest in cross-dressing when he had to try women clothes on for a fashion magazine three years ago. It is said that Kame likes London-style bisexual clothing (I’m guessing they mean androgynous?) But it seems like Kame has another reason about publishing this make-up book aside from sharing his love for cosmetology.

Actor Mokomichi has a corner on ZIP! called MOCO’s Kitchen that averages around 12-13%, a pretty high number for a morning talk show. Later, inspired by the corner, he published three recipe books that sold more than 250,000copies! As a consequence, Mokomichi became popular amongst housewives.

“Kame is aiming for the same business plan as Mokomichi.” Kame aims to fill the niche of bored housewives who have the TV on in the morning while doing house work. Mokomichi gained popularity again by taking part in the 3min cooking segment. As a handsome man, it is rare for a guy like him to find enjoyment in activities traditionally done by women. Kame saw the possibility in exploring that niche market by being an idol that can introduce simple make-up techniques to women.

Jin Akanishi dropped from drama

Johnny’s talent Jin Akanishi had been cast as the lead for a drama scheduled to start in July but has been dropped, it was revealed on April 14, reports Nikkan Sports.

It has been reported Akanishi’s agency Johnny’s & Associates had asked producers to drop him, and it is another punishment for the talent’s sudden marriage to Meisa Kuroki. It is another blow to the talent, who has already had his national tour cancelled.

The drama in question is a remake of the highly-popular “GTO” series, a live action drama made in 1998 based on the popular manga series about an ex-gang member who becomes a high school teacher. Akanishi had been cast as the lead character before he and Kuroki announced they had gotten married on February 2.

It has been reported Johnny’s had talked to the drama’s producers at Kansai TV early last month, and after some discussions between the two parties they had made their final decision by the end of March. When Nikkan Sports reporters went to ask for an interview, a Kansai TV representative had said they had nothing to comment about, neither denying or confirming the news. However, it has been reported a source within the TV company had said the report was true.

“I had heard Akanishi-san was one of the leading candidates for the role, but it’s been made quite clear he’s out of the picture now,” the source said.

“GTO” would have been Akanishi’s first leading drama role since “Yukan Club” five years ago. It has been reported the TV company is moving ahead with production, and have already started auditioning actors to play school students.

Now, Akanishi’s schedule for the near future is blank. For the 27-year-old talent who said he left KAT-TUN because he hated how his own ambitions were causing the others trouble, this could be his toughest lesson yet.

Johnny’s Jimusho makes Akanishi Jin drop new drama role as penalty

According to Nikkan Sports, Akanishi Jin (27) has been dropped out of starring Fuji TV’s new drama. According to insider sources, Johnny’s Jimusho requested Kansai TV production to let Akanishi drop. As we reported last month, they already cancelled Akanishi’s nationwide arena tour as a penalty of reporting his marriage with Kuroki Meisa after their registration, and this will be the latest punishment.

This is Fuji TV’s new drama series which is scheduled to air on Tuesday at 10:00PM starting from July. The drama will be a remake of ‘GTO‘, which was a big hit starring Sorimachi Takashi. Akanishi had been informally decided to take on the lead role on February 2nd, before his marriage was unexpectedly reported.

According to those who are related to the matter, Johnny’s Jimusho made his request to Kansai TV production at the beginning of March, and after they had conferences, the cancellation was officially decided upon at the end of the month. Although Kansai TV stated, “There is nothing that we can comment about it,” some of their staff shared, “I heard we had been continuing with Akanishi as the strong candidate, but at this moment, it is definite that his name is not listed as a candidate anymore.”

This ‘GTO’ remake drama would’ve been the first time that Akanishi would star in drama since NTV ‘Yukan-club‘ back in 2007. The production schedule of this drama has not officially been announced yet, but the audition for other cast members has already started.

LOL. Jin isn't a great actor tho, let's be real...he was probably the weakest link BANDAGE. & i had no idea they were re-making GTO. i am sad that Jin fans won't be seeing him on tour or on the TV screen, but its his own fault, tbh.

We’ve all heard rumors about Kamenashi Kazuya’s hobby in cross-dressing, but there are also other Johnny’s who share the same hobby as Kame.

“It’s Kanjani8’s Yokoyama Yu. He dresses up as a woman a lot for the Kanjani8 show, Kanjani no Shiawake. And those experiences ignited something deep within him and he started experimenting. He tried to hide it at first but he met Kame at a press conference once and said right out that he wanted to try wearing a skirt. And people have said that he has dressed up as a woman in public before.” Said a production insider.

Yoko might like wearing women’s clothing, but like Kame, he isn’t doing it because he enjoys the male attention.

“He just thinks that it’s important to polish his womanly fashion sense, doing so will allow him to be more creative in creating his roles.” Said a television writer.

Rumor has it that Kame and Yoko have tried establishing a cross-dressing club together within Johnny’s. There were at least 20 Jrs. who showed interest in joining, which shocked the both of them. Additionally, between members of this club, they call it “J-Kai.”

“It’s the combination of Johnny’s J and cross-dressing’s (josou) J. The two of them even talked about doing a collaboration for the fashion show XX’s Girls Collection.”

Recently, there is word that cross-dressing has piqued Aiba Masaki’s interest because of his co-star Matsuko Delux in Mikeneko no Holmes. Perhaps this signals the beginning of a cross-dressing boom within the entertainment industry?

On April 22nd, popular group KAT-TUN held a press conference before their concert at Tokyo Dome, and commented about former member Akanishi Jin’s marriage with Kuroki Meisa.

Tanaka Koki shared, “We also didn’t know about the marriage until media reported it.“

Kame: Because he didn't contact us, we didn't know how we should comment (on the situation). We also didn't know. But I think [The members of KAT-TUN] were the least surprised. We were the most surprised when he studied abroad.

According to reports, Akanishi Jin’s decision to study abroad in 2006 as well as his withdrawal from KAT-TUN in 2010 were only made known to the members after the fact.

Kame: We weren't surprised. I think we were the least surprised in the whole world. (quote from Nikkan Sports)

Kame: This was like the other shoe dropping. We, as 5 members, were not surprised. It was said that we were cold for not saying anything... As a person, let me normally say congratulations. (Daily Sports)

About Kuroki got pregnant, Kamenashi said, “It’s something to be congratulated on.” However, he also added, Because [Marriage] is also about your partner, we want him to do it properly/normally.(NTV)

KAT-TUN is in middle of their concert tour ‘CHAIN‘, which will take place in twelve cities. The final concert will be in Sendai on the 28th.

true & it's annoying especially since it has been 2 years since he left KAT-TUN for the 2nd time , only thing's this time round it's for good

I frankly wonder what if outta the blue if Akanishi knocked his head somewhere & he decided to go back to KAT-TUN , would the other members welcome him back , after what he did to them ?

I kinda dread the day when that happens as it will not sit well with me . The reminding members have already proved to me time & time over they can survive without Akanishi

i wish the media would give it a rest now. they don't ask Jin about KAT-TUN, so i don't get why KT would need to keep on commenting on it. :\
