It happens to me sometimes. I just wait until I get the vibe back and then bam, I'm listening to Feel the love and Merry-go-round like 10,000 times. (Literally.)

The last two times...

2008~2009 / 2012~2013. It was really bad this year.

You're all welcome guys <3 to me is a pleasure as I get to do some practical exercises while doing something I like XD I was wondering, would anyone be interested in a translation of what she says during the mc of those 2 concerts? I found it particularly moving and I wrote it down already, so I could make a thread
@refix: I understand what you mean, I think she is focusing more on some themes lately. But you can see that this poetical ayu is still there, for example in lyrics like gloria, ivy, do it again... In general i find even her lyrics about love/pain more profound than those of other pop artists, but that could be me! Those are very profound and lovely messages, anyway. Sweet young ayu.
@
@rainbow_smile: what a nice weird dream haha XD i wish i could go to the cdl ;___; once I dreamt of working behind the scenes of cdl for a staff. It was a great dream. I got to hlp ayu dressing <3
@ayu_world: it happens to me some time in a while. The biggest one I've experienced wasi in 2010/2011, in fact I didn't even watch that year's CDL. Eventually I get into her again at some point, it lastes max 2 weeks for me XD

^I think you right. I just focussing on the song (melody, how she sing it and so) not the lyrics sometimes. Just read the translation once or twice and try to find what she's trying to tell in the song then ignore it.

sometimes I too focus too much on some things and miss other... then I'll eventually notice what I was missing so XD at the end she still is the same person, she changes like we all do, she grows up, but her recurrent themes are still there. I remember spotting very alike sentences sometimes from different eras' lyrics XD

I don't know if this is the right place but I found this funny XD

"Feel de love" on Music Station felt like a parody of Ayu... I kept skipping forward but the misery wouldn't cease.

Just entered the new year (Swedish time) while listening to "BRILLANTE", I just can't bear the sound of fireworks (especially when they go off 3ft away from my window!) so I've taken up a tradition of listening to loud Ayu music to drown them out with something pleasant. I only wish I could have had to opportunity to watch the CDL tonight as well...

^this reminds me when I lived with my parents couples of years ago. My mom always said why do I spent a lot of money for an artist that only looking good but sounds bad or has a standard and same song type. "this song is old right?" "no, its new. she released it a week ago" "it sounds the same" lol I'm just rolling my eyes.
Last night, like I had plan before, spent the time watching CDL and had a barbecue... with my cats haha get to see the fireworks from my apartment balcony. Same time when Ayu count down. It feels great.

LOOOL seems legit hahaha. And did she enjoy it?
I don't really like watching ayu's lives with people who are not into, if not her, AT LEAST a jpop/general pop musical landscape. Because I'd always feel like I need to explain and justify whatever she's doing and why I love it! something like "why is she dressed that why? eh? why do they dance now? uhm? what's happening? she's 35 yet she wears little pinkie cute outfits? why?" XD

lol poor ayu, your parents are hatin' on her! XDDD this reminds me. Once one of my relatives was talking to me but I didn't notice/couldn't hear her because I had my headphones on max volume. I eventually noticed what was happening and took off my headphones only to hear my mother saying "she's not paying attention, she's listening to that stupid-sounding stuff again!" and I was like "it's not stupid, I love it!!!" "well it is missy, all we hear from here is LA LA LA LA LA LA LA". Well it was the ending of July 1st from a nation so you can't exactly blame her right. sorry mum

No, my mum said she liked it haha And she was impressed with hom many crystals she has EVERYWHERE: on her costumes, on her stuff that's in ears, on her mic.
I felt slightly awkward during the intro though, ESPECIALLY when Timmy appeared. I was like "Why... Timmy, noooooo". And then after the first couple of songs my mum was saying something about the dancers, so I pointed at Timmy and was like "He's gaaay lol" and she was like "So what? lol" and then started talking about Adam Lambert :"D Funny, because she's really homophobic

UPD: And now she told me that she told her neighbour that we spent our New Year's Eve watching this and that concerts like this are worth flying all the way to Japan haha

^ No, my mum is perfectly fine with my obsession with Ayumi, she was just curious what Ayu sounds like haha

And she really liked the show, she was like "Wow she really gives her all in her performances". And she was impressed with all those acrobatic performances in between the songs haha

Oh I love your mum! she got the main point I'd like to show to the whole world: whatever she does, she puts HER ALL into her performances. That's why I was first attracted to her. She seemed really genuine to me. She STILL seems very genuine to me, despite what many other say ;; yay crystals everywheeere. Show her the JEWEL pv!!! Oh my god timmy HAHA. "noooo timmy go away it was all going so well!!!"
Funny how a vision of the a best live turned into a debate over Adam Lambert's sexuality. You can never know in life.

Yeah, I was happy when she said that ^^ And she actually like Ayu's vocals.
I actually mentioned JEWEL PV haha Yeah, I'll probably show that to her later
Well, my mum likes Adam Lambert, so I guess it's a good thing

Watched cdl 12-13 on new year eve with family. They liked it and said that the team really put their all into their performances. They also pointed out how there's a sort of respect between the audience and performers. They really liked how its a whole show, not just song then song then song. It was fun!

Never knew they have a "Barbie award" haha. But well I've always think of Ayu as a doll when I first saw her image in 2001.

We all know that Ayu has won a TON of awards over her career. I was wondering earlier today how she stores them all. Does she display them in her home? Are they boxed up in storage?
