I just listened to the full version of now and 4eva, and what the hell? It's such a "typical" ayu song.That guitar driven bridge sounds like an alternate version of the bridge from GAME that they decided to not use. I'm so confused with this album. It's like she's so set in her ways she can't break from the mold for even one album. As a song by itself, I like it. But listening to feel the love, and Terminal, and the preview from Lelio and Angel I was so excited to have something really different.

This album is going to be a mess. Half of the songs are going to sound like a trance party, and the other half (now and forever, pray, hello new me and whatever else we're getting) sound like typical ayu songs. The songs are so different from each other that she's probably not going to have a choice when it comes to organizing the tracklist and she'll probably clump dance with dance and typical with typical cause it'll sound like a train wreck any other way.

I even like Angel, although that "Ouuwouoow"(I'm not good at English onomatopeias) sounds like a wounded animal (I'm pretty sure if I ever get drunk enough to start singing this I'll somehow get myself shoot), still, it's the one that keeps playing in my head the most.

Have you heard Tell All? You can do the same choreography of that song's bridge to NOW & 4EVA's haha.

Maybe ayu has done a good job if she lets you feel she sounds like a wounded animal, thinking about it, maybe it just how she wanted us to feel about it when she sings in Angel?

But really I think that it will sound better in the full track, I love her powerful singing but it has to make sense in context to the rest of it, I don't really think she sounds bad in there, she sounds like she is struggling there, on purpose.

edit: no way, the preview we got has different instrumentation. The dub mix is different, thank God.

The full vocal version will still sound like the dub. That arrangement will be the same. It's not gonna change much except maybe an addition of more toned down orchestral parts where ayus vocals will appear. As I said, dubs are meant to stand alone as tracks and not just be identical instrumentals. They are optimized to work as a solo track, so they may cut out portions that sound awkward.

I'm glad we won't get a typical electro-pop album even though I thought that's what it is going to be at first. Four titles are already confirmed being pure J-Pop which is a good thing seeing that other J-Pop artists rely completely on electro.

I feel like Ayu and her producers have proven their loyalty towards the notorious sound signature once again!

NOW & 4EVA is BOSS. Those synth strings in the bridge! Holy moly. Love the outro too. I just wish it were a little longer in length!

NOW & 4EVA..eh..I guess this is the album's obligatory ~Ayu midtempo rock filler~ that she's been recycling for nearly 10 years. The only thing that's refreshing is the ending refrain.

I kinda like NOW & 4EVA... Not hearing rock in it at all though, it's super super pop. Reminds me of momentum a lot tbh and the arrangement is very 2002-2003. It'd be super forgettable released back then but I'm glad for at least something that still sounds like classic Ayu since nothing else from this album does

I'm also craving a "real" rock song like 1LOVE or identity where the guitar is prominent and not heavily programmed. Both those songs had real drums/bass as well, which definitely makes a difference.

Ever since TK and songs like progress/Song 4 U/Tell All, it seems she's adopted this synth-driven anime/VGM "rock" style, which I don't mind—but I want to be REALLY ROCKED god dammit!

NOW & 4EVA is so good. It's something I can actually see myself repeating over and over haha. I really like it a lot! From the preview I was expecting just to feel "okay"--but it's great. I'm wishing it had a video.

She should've just made videos for all of them xD
