New V6 song Super Powers will be used as the opening theme song for the One Piece anime !

That will happen from 7th Oct onwards . For now it's not known when Super Powers will be released as V6's next single

More details on Super Powers

The theme of the song has been described as the “world of adventure”. It has a refreshing melody with lyrics that will fill the listener with courage and the need to adventure. With “One Piece” celebrating their 20th anniversary next year, this collaboration with V6 only serves as the beginning to a very exciting time for fans of the series.

Member Okada Junichi commented that “One Piece” has been one of his favourites as a youth, to this day he still buys new Weekly Shōnen Jump issues to keep up with the series. Miyake Ken has also been a fan since the beginning, especially the anime version.

Inohara Yoshihiko stated that himself and the rest of the group are honoured to be included into the “One Piece” world, and thinks fans will enjoy the song as it fits very closely with the animation.

V6 to sing the new opening theme for anime 'ONE PIECE'

V6's new song "Super Powers" will be the new opening theme for anime 'ONE PIECE' beginning October 7.

"Super Powers" was written for the anime with the theme "to live diligently with friends." The lyrics includes words such as "friend," "courage," and "adventure," emitting the message "by combining friend's powers, it will become an even bigger power."

The release date for "Super Powers" has not been determined at this time.

Ken's new butai Hatsukanezumi to Ningen kicked off yesterday at Tokyo Globe Theatre and it will continue its run in Tokyo until 28th Oct which will then be held in Osaka's Morinomiya Piloti Hall from 8th to 11th Nov

Okada Junichi & Miyazaki Aoi welcome their first child

V6's Okada Junichi (37) and actress Miyazaki Aoi (32) have welcomed their first child together.

In a joint statement, the couple announced, "We have an announcement for everyone. Our first child, a baby boy, was born healthily the other day. Both mother and baby are doing well. When we heard his first cry, we felt his strength to live and the dignity of the start of life. We are grateful for this miracle that has been born to us as well as to everyone who have supported us."

They continued, "As a father and mother, we are responsible for our beloved child's life. We will do our best to raise him carefully. It would make us happy if you would watch over us warmly. Please continue to support us."

Okada and Miyazaki tied the knot on December 23 of last year. Then on May 19, they announced that Miyazaki was pregnant with their first child.
