Pakuchii no Uta's lyric seems interesting... Is that a coriander version of Boku wa Kuma...?

I thought Kobukuro Nariaki was involved, but I don't see his name in lyric/composer at all...

the way she SENDED me @ 5am in the morning on my way to work

very unique song structures, but her melodies are always on fire!!
her voice is so light and feminine, but still so strong, wow her mind

haters can seethe, this album is incredible
Chikai is gorgeous, i wonder how the full english version will turn out coupled with the ending in Kingdom Hearts III.

Too Proud is so unexpected and good, the laugh i let out when the beat dropped! the rap could be better but it’s A BOP anyways!

Good Night is amazing as i thought it would be!

Koriander Song is Boku wa Kuma pt.2 but the verses are so beautiful i almost ignore the chorus

the organ song is nice, but havnt much listens due to the other better songs (for now)

Yuunagi is beyond beautiful, so calm and touching...
i love how she always creates the atmosphere in the song!

the last song… wow
it’s like Exodus came back for a sec to remind y’all how great it still is!

i loved all the singles especially Oozora and Forevermore, but all 5 of them are great! and Hatsukoi is like her most dynamic ballad in years!!

9 or 9.5 out of 10

All in all, for me the album feels like the continuation of her life's journey, post Mother's Suicide. While Fantome has the feeling of someone going back and forth between feeling sad and trying to be happy, Hatsukoi feels more like someone who has through it all and now facing life in a more mature way, with the occasional looking back and reminisce.

^typical Utada...which is probably what everyone loves about her.
All in all, less exciting than Fantome, but a nice album. I guess my crown goes to Miliyah though.

After the first listen, I think the album is less dynamic than Fantôme (music wise...?). I can't say if I love this album or not with just one listen. Last time I wasn't excited by Fantôme after the first listen, but ended up loving the album in the end.

The new songs that attract me immediately are Too Proud and Good Night, and that surprises myself a bit. I thought I would be more into the second part of the album, but I didn't feel anything at all when I listened to 残り香, 夕凪, and 嫉妬されるべき人生. I'm even more attracted by the cilantro song, which is another surprise for myself.

Okay if the new album is less dynamic than Fantome which I found boring as hell (sorry guys...) I'm not sure I will listen to this one.

I just listened to it once, but my initial impressions is way better than Fantome and one of her best.

I have no words for this album. It's pure love and it makes a lot of sense after Fantome.

Too Proud is amazing, as well as Chikai and the other songs. There's not a single song that I dislike.

I think "Good Night" is one of her best songs ever.

I'm kinda shocked because I really liked Fantôme, but it's an irregular album, with very good songs and some not-so-very-strong points. What endears me the most in "Hatsukoi" are the consistency and cohesion. A very solid and mature album (even the cilantro song sounds mature, I know it's bizarre).

Hatsukoi is INSANELY mature yes and very cohesive! I mean ok, some songs, I still dont rmb especially those with Japanese titles because the tempo is kinda similar. Will need more time but on my first listen through, it really is a very solid album

I love Anata (specially) and Hatsukoi (without the "I need you" parts lol), but for me, the album just goes down after them. I've been listening to it a couple of times now, I hope it grows on me. 嫉妬されるべき人生 will probably at least.

Is it just me or some details of "Too Proud" arrangement reminds Kyary Pamyu Pamyu songs? Besides, if Nariaki was involved in something at "Hatsukoi", it could be probably that song, it fits so much with "Bunriha no Natsu" material.

It seems Nariaki helped in Pakuchi no Uta.

Kept listening to Too Proud and Hatsukoi all day long <3
