Just finished listening to the album. I was actually pleasantly surprised at the amount of upbeat tracks that she included this time around. It's definitely a welcome change and I hope it carries over to her future releases as well; particularly her singles.

The album itself, while I do like it, isn't really memorable. I feel like it's one of those albums that you just leave playing in the background as you do other things. And to be honest, I really can't remember what each individual track sounds like after I'm finished listening to them. 'I like u' is really the only track that stands out and makes an actual impression because it's so extremely upbeat and cheery compared to the rest of the album.

"Stay with me" was a nice intro song. A pretty easy going track that picks up every time it hits the chorus.

I had pretty high expectations for "Hands off!!!" so I was definitely pretty disappointed when it turned out nothing like AKS99 or Onegai AZU-ko Sensei. It's still an okay track though. Considering the tempo of the song, even if it wasn't as fast and upbeat as "I like u', I still wish she gave the song a whole lot more attitude; something along the lines of "Hot Like Fire".

CLEAR AS CRYSTAL is probably my least favorite. I find it kind of boring and it sounds exactly like something I would think of if I were to try to come up with how songs in that genre generally sound.

AZU will be releasing her first best album this fall. (Ugh. I was hoping for a new single or something :| )

Fans can vote for what songs they'd like to see included in the tracklist through this website: http://www.sonymusic.co.jp/Music/Inf...ote/index.html

Basically any song from her previous albums, as well as the A+B sides of her singles, are eligible.

I don't really understand why artists tend to release best ofs when it's obvious that they're going to flop even worse than studio albums :/

because making a best of costs less money than make a new album & so the music label can gain some profit?

Yeah but if nobody's buying your studio albums, I doubt they would be interested in a best of :/

It is a shame she doesn't sell more, since I really do think she deserves it.

I think it may partly be due to the fact that she releases so many ballads as singles, tbh. She's equally amazing at making faster songs so I don't really get why she never releases them as singles. They're always so sassy and I love it lmao

In terms of the BEST album, it ranked #14 its first week and then charted for 3 weeks. If she sticks with her usual release schedule, then we'll hopefully be getting a new single around February.

Edit//

I just noticed the AZU discography linked in the first post is horribly out of date lmao.
So I went ahead and uploaded everything in a new thread: http://www.ahsforum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=116317
