i don't think yuna was ever THAT popular to begin with. but she was doing better with ENDLESS STORY and precious. i think they need to release GATE next. japanese loves ballads

Despite loving miss you, I must say it sounds really generic and not something "oomph" enough to get a big sale, and she has not set up a very strong popularity yet, unlike Ayu, so yeah... any average single from Yuna would have bad sales, like this. I hope GATE will sell better!
But I still love miss you! |

She's need to get out of the generic-pop zone and into music that'll get her recognized. Her vocals are strong, but strong vocals aren't enough to succeed in the music industry. Mika Nakashima has arguably weaker vocals, but her voice and music styles are unique enough that consumers buy her CDs. Yuna simply doesn't stand out from the pack of generic-pop singers, other than the fact that she sang for NANA.

I hope GATE sells really well. It's a great ballad - different from her previous ballads but just as good - and it's not just "generic pop" material either.
