definetly no new album in January!!!!!
then there really wouldn't be any point of releasing a single in the middle of december!!!!!!

there's no way she'll release a new album before July, there's no time.
it takes about a month to finish 1 song and that's without counting in the part of writing lyrics and studio recording if you want a quality song (i know because a friend of mine has his own recording studio).

and she really needs to take a break and relax for a month of two, so NO NEW ALBUM until early summer!!!!!!

I also think is a bad idea to release an album on 1/1... first she doesn't have enough time to prepare it... second the single would be meaningless and a B&D/pride II, and third to make an album with this short time means songs won't be as good as all of we want... so have patient and wait for a really good album for 2009... is better for ayu in my opinion....

and moreover... she have tro prepare CDL right?? it won't be the first year w/o CDL!... no no.. no time for an album...

If there won't be a countdown this will be the first year without a countdown.
There always was a countdown since 2000-2001. (2003-2004's CDL was a part of the tour.
There were 2001-2002 and 2002-2003 they just didn't have individual DVDs.)
So yeah, every year since 2000 had a CDL XD and I don't think that this year will be exception.

^Oh yeah normally countdowns would be partly be a promotion of her new album or at least give some awareness to it. If there's no new album this year, then it would purely be a new year celebration concert. I agree that MA was a fantastic mini-album in that all the songs had their own unique quality and arrangement. She also spaced out creating the songs very well in 2003. This year, i get the impression that MW and Life came out in jan and feb and there was nothing in between for a loooooong time until now with Days and GREEN which begs the question, is ayu losing her rigour for writing songs? I think so

If a mini-album comes out, oh well. I'm going to buy it anyway. Who knows, the songs may be fabulous. And we are finally getting a single. That should show she is back on track. I think her tour this year is way too spaced out. It's too distracting for her and her staff probably. What are the concerns for this single becoming a B&D/Pride II? Song quality wise or sales wise? Personally i thought B&D/Pride was quite a strong single (i really adore Pride), just that it was too close to the release date of (m)u.

well, if her new album DOES come out april 8th,
then after this single we won't really have another single

when would she have it, february? 2 months before a new album?

its going to be only two singles or one more digital single if she releases in april

but if not april not at all until end of next year right? someone was saying how ayu never has early year releases

she released all her best ofs till A COMPLETE in the first quarter of the new year, but never an original album beyond january 1st. so I think she'll stick with the two single-scheme and put out an album... yeah, the question is when.

I'm curious about this too. However at this stage I think Ayu doesn't really care about sales so much.

Since ayu became a millionare I think that the money became a bit less important but for our avex friends, money is the most important thing on earth. (Like every company but we know avex) XD.

It's warming to see though the support and high sales ayu get and that she's doing well and a lot of people like her music or interested in this or that song. ^_^
