Doesn't Johnny's have a stronghold on Music Station? It's like the reason why Tohoshinki has never been on?
Lately, to me avex doesn't care unless you're one of their money makers. I know Leah didn't know Japanese when she first appeared on TV and they had a translator for her so I don't see why avex won't do that.
Their attitude is "they weren't getting recongized before, what will make it change now?'.

Yeah JE was a huge influence over Music Station. I wouldn't be surprised if they owned it

Appearing on those types of shows are some of the best promo you can get in Japan. If random people like NICO Touche the Walls and Hata motohiro were able to make it on Music Station I don't see how alan can't. Also I'm pretty sure avex would have been able to get her on at least ONE of those major shows for RED CLIFF or something, it's not like they are a poor unknown label!

It's not like avex has all the money in the world to spend promoting all of their artists. They're putting their money for promo in the artists who are more likely to sell. Even if alan does make good music, I just don't think her music is really something that's ever going to make her super popular. It's not mainstream enough at all.

And I don't see what the big deal about $41 for CD+DVD is really... @_@ I could have sworn that was a pretty general price for CD+DVDs... and CD-onlys were usually about $29 or so. Japan versions are always expensive like that.

Nah... maybe for jrock CDs, but Jpop CDs are a bit cheaper.... not much more than $35 for the CD+DVD unless it's coming with super special features. But with the economy the way it is, that definitely plays a part in why the price (when you convert it) is particularly high. Hopefully there will be an overseas version.

A reason I'm dissappointed is avex promoted her more than they usually do for Natsukashii Mirai single and she received what was then her highest sales and still is her highest position on Oricon. Guess I thought her singles from then on would sell between 10-20,000 copies.
I'll have to accept alan to Kanon's fame.

I don't think it's the price alone that is the problem, but the fact of there being only 4 new songs which could be good or bad. Also, if you didn't like some of the singles, then the price sticks out more.

Ashita e no Sanka is great! her vocals are really amazing!

Natsukashii Mirai is a good single, both a and b-sides are good.
