Were there a lot of people at this fair?
The fair was huge, it was the biggest one I ever went to in my life, with a LOT of people. I plan on going next year as well. It's like, 45 minutes from my house though D:

i dont wanna say anything that con be construed as mean. So ill say this delicately. The man that died was a porr man who suffered from many mental issues. Whether or not he comitted the things they accused him of, he suffered.

It is sad that he had to die, and will now be remembered as two people. The King Of Pop, and a Mental Case. I just hope the world will focus on his legacy rather than the crap they spewed bout him.

I really doubt that he will be a legend for his music. I think he'll mostly be a legend of his nickname, the King of Pop, and also his moonwalk, but not to forget how mysterious he was. I mean, he was in such few interviews, but in those interviews, he was just direct and talked about almost everything. But no matter, people still think he had a lot of plastic surgeries, and that he was sexual with the children on the Neverland ranch. I guess that is, unfortunately, the things he will really be remembered for.

I wonder how those thing could get over all the good he has done. I mean, how many money he did actually spend on sick children, there is only few who actually knows about it, because everyone else just judge him. He was like, the second Princess Diana, but it was forgotten because of children in his room? That's kind of wierd..

Speaking of Princess Diana, I was watching Good Morning America this morning and they had an old interview on with Michael where he talks about meeting her. Apparently, he did a small concert of some sort for the Royal Family and Diana literally begged him to perform Dirty Diana. He was really embarrassed when she asked, thinking that it wasn't appropriate and she insisted.

Anyway, the "memorial service" is over now; what did you all think of it? I thought some parts were really corny (Brooke Shields) and others were really heartbreaking (Paris breaking down T_T). Jennifer Hudson's performance was awesome, as always.

As for the family, not to minimize their pain and suffering, but I got the feeling at some points (especially the whole thing near the end) was just another way for them to get in the spotlight. They already had a private ceremony; there really was no need for them to be at the memorial service, especially since it was for the fans anyway.

^ Exactly.

...At the memorial...when Marlon said, "Michael give my twin Brandon a hug." (Marlons twin had died at birth) and when Paris had spoke, so brave, I broke down.

How would he not be a legend for his music?
He already is :S

The memorial was so moving. Some parts.. I thought were.. odd, but on the whole very touching. I cried... a hell of a lot.

When Paris came to speak, I was in floods of tears before she had even said anything.

i cried my eyes off when his daughter spoke. the memorial was absolutely wonderful, full of sadness but at the same time, joyful, since we had him in our lifetime.

Most people could have probably done without Rev. Sharpton, lol. He is a good speaker though. I thought Lionel, Stevie, and especially Jermaine performed beautifully. I really underestimated Jermaine's vocal talent!

As for the Jackson family, I really admire their strength. I always have. I think sometime this week I'm going to pick up that documentary film "Jacksons: An American Dream", the one VH1 used to play all the time. It's an incredibly long film, but I think it gives some very important insight into Michael's childhood and what the whole family had endured.

I just hope that his three children stay with Katherine and the rest of the family where they belong. That's certainly what Mike what have wanted.

omfg. i totally wept when Paris came to talk. it was so heartbreaking. even thinking about it makes me teary-eyed.

i really liked the memorial. i thought it was a nice balance of performances & speeches. i really liked Smokey Robinson's speech; it made me laugh.

I had to leave the room when Paris spoke. I was kinda hoping Prince (the eldest boy) would speak. He's kinda hot. (What?! He's only a year and a half younger than me!)

2NE1 did tribute on the 26th.
