It's unknown. I'm assuming a couple of years (maybe 2?) because she wouldn't have made a big deal of it if it was only for a couple of months.

I don't know , it's hard to say when she will be back . Unlike YUI who doesn't have a disease (yet) whom came back pretty fast within 5 months , I don't know for ayaka's case

naturally I hope the sooner the better but she also wants to focus her marriage with Mizushima Hiro too at the same time

She will probably come back after her hiatus with not as much popularity (then again it does depend on how long she's gone), but of course she will have her solid fan base.

I just hope she doesn't end up with modest success afterward though...

I talked before of her MTV Unplugged and its broadcast on SKY (December 18th) and MTV JP (January 3rd).
It seems that only 30mn of the concert will be broadcasted.

TV Version will be like this :

MTV Unplugged : 30 minutes
Making the MTV Unplugged : 30 minutes
MTV ayaka's History ~ History of Dreams : 30 minutes


SKY Channel will broadcast it on these dates :

December 18, 2009 (Fri) 22:00 to 23:30 (TV Edition)
December 20 (Sun) 21:00 - 22:30 (rebroadcast)
December 23 (Wed) 19:00 ~ 20:30 (rebroadcast)
December 26 (Sat) 22:00 ~ 23:30 (rebroadcast)

Ive got bad feeling after seeing this. MTV make her hiatus BIG. I am affraid she will go for hiatus for very long time.

Well, it seems we all agree it will be at least a year. She, and everybody else, wouldn't make such a fuss if it were shorter. I'm planning on a little longer.... Gaaahhh, I'm serious, I'm really gonna miss her! D: I know I'll be waiting right here when she comes back. I just hope all her other fans will do the same. She was actually starting to have really good success. It would be a shame if nobody cared about her after her return.

going for S$29.95 , pretty reasonable but eh I'm not getting it . I already have the 2 CDs + photobook

shame that Warner Taiwan didn't choose to make an OS press for the 2 CDs + photobook ah well

Ayaka's best album breaks 1 million

"Ayaka's History 2006-2009," the first best album by singer-songwriter Ayaka (21), has just reached a million copies shipped, about a month and a half after its release.

Released on September 23, the album started strong with almost 350,000 sales in its first week, the highest for a female artist this year. It ranked #1 on the charts for two consecutive weeks and was #4 this past week. So far, it is the only album by a solo artist to break the million mark this year.

Ayaka announced in April that she is putting her career on hold to undergo treatment for Graves' disease. She also revealed at that time that she and actor Hiro Mizushima (25) had married.
