Shingo Katori becomes an ogre in upcoming anime movie
![]() SMAP’s Shingo Katori (33) will voice the lead character in Japan’s first feature length 3D animation movie, “friends もののけ島のナキ (Mononoke-jima no Naki, Naki from Mononoke Island)”, reports Sports Hochi, Sankei Sports, and Mainichi Shinbum Digital. The film is based on the Japanese fairytale “泣いた赤おに (Naita Aka-oni, The Red Ogre who Cried)”, where two ogres (or demons) – red ogre Naki and blue ogre Gunjo – find a human child, which starts off their adventure. It has been reported Katori was feeling positive about the film. “When I read the script, I couldn’t help but laugh at the characters on Mononoke, but at the end I was crying so much. “I’m looking forward to seeing how my red ogre characters turns out. Because it’s 3D animation, I can’t wait to see Naki, the red ogre, jump out in front of everyone,” he said. The director of the movie, Takashi Yamazaki, who has recently worked with SMAP’s Takuya Kimura on sci-fi movie “Yamato”, had said he had been working on the film since January last year. “This story had a huge impact on me when I was a kid and I had always wanted to make it into a film. “(Katori has) an amazing ability to make his character believable. You can see his kindness in the shades of his red ogre wildness,” he said. The director also said he hopes the movie will be put in a new category of anime films, different from Studio Ghibli or PIXAR movies, and also hopes it will be released internationally. The original “泣いた赤おに (Naita Aka-oni, The Red Ogre who Cried)” fairytale tells the story of a red ogre who has a dream of becoming friends with the humans in a nearby village. To make this dream come true, the red ogre’s best friend, the blue ogre, deliberately attacks the village to make himself the enemy and makes sure he gets beaten up by the red ogre so his friend can earn the villagers’ trust. Afterwards, to make sure the villagers don’t find out the truth, the blue ogre sneaks out and never returns. The story ends with the red ogre in tears as he finds out the sacrifice his friend had made for him. “friends Mononoke-jima no Naki” will be released in cinemas in December 2011. http://momoedgewood.wordpress.com/20...g-anime-movie/

TOKIO's Taichi Kokubun preparing for marriage?
The Sports Nippon newspaper is speculating that TOKIO member Taichi Kokubun (36) may be getting married next year, based on the fact that his girlfriend is leaving her job at the end of this month. Multiple sources close to the woman have told the newspaper that she appears to be preparing for marriage. Kokubun publicly revealed his relationship in a magazine interview in May 2009. Since May 2008, he has been dating a woman three years younger than him, described as resembling actress Saki Aibu (25). At that time, Kokubun had hinted that he was considering marriage in the future. The woman currently works at a television station, though her job does not involve production on shows. A source at the station says she has already submitted her resignation and will finish at the end of this month. One source says her reason for quitting is that she plans to enter graduate school. In the past, she was in charge of an environment-related project, and through that she became interested in studying environmental issues. However, other people familiar with the woman indicate that she seems to be getting ready for marriage. One of her friends has also said that she was seen wearing a sparkling ring on her left ring finger. At the moment, there is no confirmation of the rumor from Kokubun or his management. http://www.tokyograph.com/news/id-7164

SMAP were amazing at the CDTV Special. They did quite a few songs including Lion Heart and other classics. And Kimutaku looked like he had the time of his live at the AKB48 performance, playing the bongos. Haha. He's really good looking! I really recommend that performance, it was great.

i was sort of re-watching bits of JE CDL & i couldn't help but notice Nagase Tomoya during it. he really wasn't his usual self. i mean, he wasn't even properly happy for his best friend's birthday (Domoto Koichi's birthday is always celebrated @ JE CDL since he is a Jan. 1st baby). and he looked out-of-it throughout the whole thing, even when performing! which is odd because Nagase/TOKIO are spectacular live.
i feel really bad for him. ![]() but i'm rooting for you, Nagase! i hope things are going well between him and Aibu Saki. ![]() i just wanted to say it in a non-Ayu dominated area of the forum. and the JE threads are more sane than the Ayu ones anyway, ahahaha. i do love Ayu/Manuel (they are really cute together!), but Ayu/Nagase were my OTP (One True Pairing) back in the day. love did not exist for me when they broke up in 2007, TRUE. FACTS.

At the time of the Countdown and Kouhaku had Ayu already announced her intention to marry? I think it was only later that night, so he didn't know yet, except she told him, which is possible, considering they are friends now.
And....I don't feel sorry for him at all. People always seem to say "Oh Ayu broke up with him and broke his heart...blabla" I don't believe it. I think it was a mutual decision and nobody said let's break up. And considering in the summer of 2007, when they broke up, Nagase was in a drama with Aibu Saki, who became his girlfriend right away, while Ayu was single until recently....it puts things into perspective. Maybe Ayu even wanted to marry him and he was the one that said no, and it wasn't the other way around? Anyway, even though I don't feel sorry for him, I still like him and I also thought they were a great couple and don't get the hate he has to suffer right now, from Fans who say he was so wrong for Ayu. They've been together for a long, looong time and Ayu dedicated not only a lot of albums to her "Honey" she even wrote him a song that oozes love and happiness. For that alone he deserves a medal. I wonder if she'll ever sing HONEY again. |

Nagase's usually really happy at Johnny's Countdown since he's with his friends and colleagues. he kissed Koichi one year, lol. it was just a different Nagase this year. i could just tell. i'm pretty sure he knew prior to the whole CDL starting.
but even if he rushed into his relationship with Aibu Saki, i still feel bad for him. they've known each other pretty much since their teen years and they had a long relationship. i don't know the guy personally, but i just feel like he's hurting. just a fan instinct/personal opinion. i don't blame either person for the break-up though. they weren't meant to be in the end. i was just being really dramatic, lmao. but i did enjoy them while they lasted. (2 fandoms collided, how could i not love them as a couple? lol) personally, the hate for both guys is pretty harsh, but it comes with the territory of being in the ayumi hamasaki fandom, i guess.

I've been watching Johnnys Countdown since the 2006-2007 one (still my favourite). But maybe you're reading to much into it? Personally I thought everyone in this Countdown looked pretty sombre and not their usual selfs. It wasn't a very happy Countdown in my opinion (which goes for the groups at Tokyo Dome) and probably the worst I've seen so far. Shame, cause I look really forward to the Countdown every year.
And maybe he just has a stomach ache or something? I don't really think it hurts him to see Ayu getting married, they are long over and it doesn't seem like him to live in the past. And even if he did hurt for any reason, I think he's a pro and won't bring his private issues into work. |

i guess i could be reading too much into it, but eh...it's just how i interpreted it. it's not a big deal for me, just expressing an opinion.
![]() i don't like how everyone's sort of split up now for JE CDL now. it was really fun when everyone was at one spot, not all around. Eito was at Kyosera Dome in Osaka, Tackey (& Tsubasa) at that theater, Arashi at Kouhaku, etc. it hasn't been the same since, tbh.

Takizawa Hideaki celebrates 100th anniversary of the Imperial Garden Theater
![]() On December 3rd, Tackey & Tsubasa’s Takizawa Hideaki held “Kagami Biraki” (Japanese traditional ceremony of cutting New Year’s rice cakes) with Nishikiori Kazukiyo (Shonentai) and Nakayama Yuma (NYC) on the stage of “Shinshun Takizawa Kakumei“, which opened on New Year’s Day at the Imperial Garden Theater. This year is the 100th anniversary of the theater, and “Shinshun Takizawa Kakumei” was chosen as the opening work for the 100th anniversary. Takizawa commented, “I’m honored to be on the stage as the opening work for the 100th anniversary. I will try my best to carry these 100 years, which was built up by great seniors, to next generation as well.“ “Takizawa Kakumei” was first played in 2009, and this is the third year that the show will run. This year, Nakayama Yuma was chosen as a new cast member, and Takizawa and Nakayama are playing brothers. Nakayama was chosen by Takizawa’s appointment, and Takizawa revealed the reason of the appointment was that he wanted to co-star with Nakayama, as he believed that Nakayama could be the next generation. Takizawa is known for giving “Otoshidama” (Japanese custom of giving money to children on New Year’s Day) to his juniors every year, and he mentioned that he gave “Otoshidama” to 60 juniors this year, showing remarkable generosity. http://www.tokyohive.com/2011/01/tak...arden-theater/
