LOVE the sound of Pink Spider (and what an interesting name, too! Very different to the names of her other songs, yet suits very well), I thought before, it sounds like it's going to be more of a club cover album, so excited for it!! Both previews sound great, and Pink Spider (awesome name) sounds like it builds into something epic. Looking forward to hearing more previews as they days go on.

This preview image looks amazing, reminds me of show girl! Cannot wait to see the PV! Hopefully people won't get all funny about the headdress and the Indian looking outfit, that seems to be a trend recently. The PV is said to be inspired by Anno Moyoko's Manga 'Five Girls of Buffalo', so that's where she has gotten the outfit from, as Koda plays the prostitute called 'Candy' from the series:


"Moyoco Anno's (Sakuran, Sugar Sugar Rune, Hataraki Man) unfinished manga Buffalo Gonin Musume (Five Girls of Buffalo) will be getting a live-action music video adaptation titled Pink Spider Inspired by Buffalo Gonin Musume. Mika Ninagawa (Sakuran, Helter Skelter live-action films) will direct the video, which will feature the song "Pink Spider" covered by singer Kumi Koda (Final Fantasy X-2, Total Eclipse, Cutie Honey). The song was originally performed by hide with Spread Beaver in 1998.

Koda will also play the character Candy in the video. Rina Ohta as Susie, Anri Sugihara as Dalia, Ellie (from the group Chim↑Pom) as Ruby, and Tina Tamashiro as Coco round out the main cast. Other cast members include Juntarō Yanagi, Ryō Kitamura, Takumi Saito, and Susumu Terajima.

The manga, which began serialization in Takarajimasha's CUTiE Comic fashion magazine in 1999, revolves around the lives of five prostitutes living in the American West during America's westward expansion. Two prostitutes, Candy and Suzie, escape their brothel and meet other prostitutes during their journey. Anno published an omnibus edition of the series in a special issue of Shodensha's Feel Young magazine in 2002. The manga will have its first compiled book volume published on January 8, 2013.

The music video will debut this winter on the UULA smart phone service. UULA will also release an "all color movie comic" version of Buffalo Gonin Musume that will include voice acting and special effects. Thats actually an awesome and interesting tie-in and idea, with a Manga! And it sounds like a great collaboration of people, I'm really looking forward to seeing this PV with this concept behind it. <3

Just stop to read the news properly now. I though the song was going to be the tie-in of a live action, but THE PV will be the live-action? I wonder how long that music video is gonna be oh Lord. Avex is really putting faith upon this release, I hope it give them a return.

i actually don't care that lana wore it. just like i really don't give a damn that kuu's wearing it. people will see things in ways that are the most offensive to them, so. have at it.

I was a hide fan before going into pop, I still smh at the band name, but that was how he was.

I brought up Lana Del Rey because I've seen a few people praising her videos, and that one just struck me as unusual because it contained it.

I personally don't understand the hype surrounding headdresses (why they are considered fashionable, why hipsters wear them etc.)

I think its a mix of North American culture/history mixed with the eco-craze that the world is going through. The world wants to be friendly to Mother Earth, Natives are quite well known for that. Here in Canada that seems to be the case these days. Eskimo shoes are in, as well as lumberjack chic. Fur is everywhere.
