And yeah the foreign fan that attended KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2016 ~Best Single Collection~ echo the same thing as me . In Kuu's concerts , it's non stop energy from the very moment the show starts until finish

I haven't flew to Japan to see Kuu's concerts personally but I'm sure for those who did , most if not all will say seeing her live in person is a great experience and being there in person is nothing as compared to what you watch in a DVD/Blu-ray

This is so true. When you're there Kuu's energy is just amazing. You can't really grasp even half of how amazing she is live when you watch her concerts on DVD...

Hey everyone, I was at the first show on April 9th and I have to say that it was absolutely amazing! It was my first time seeing Kuu live and she slayed! From start to finish it was nonstop energy! Her vocals sounded really good, especially considering that she was still recovering from being sick, and her dancing was on point! I post a short review in a spoiler.

Spoiler:

She messed up during the performance “hands” right before the bridge. From what I remember she started singing too early and it was the wrong lyrics, so she paused for a second, said “machigatta” (I made a mistake) and laughed. It was really cute! There was also a point during “I’ll be there for you” where she started to sing too early but then just stopped and smiled at the audience. Again that was really cute!
The performance of “Koi no tsubomi” is where she invites fans to come on stage with her. The dancers picked two girls from the audience, and they went on stage and sat at a table with Kuu while the dancers brought out tea and cake for them. Then Kuu fed a spoonful of cake to each of the girls.

For me the highlights of the night were Real Emotion, Moon Crying, love across the ocean, Can We Go Back, Pop Diva, Crazy 4 U, and Dance In The Rain.

Kuu does an aerial performance while singing Moon Crying which was really beautiful.

During “Can We Go Back” she gets strapped to a giant cross that lifts her from the lower stage onto the upper part of the stage. During the performance Kuu and the dancers also use the glowing wands from the “Taboo” performance from “The Artist” tour. At the end of the performance Kuu turned around and jumped/fell backwards off the top part of the stage for the dancers to catcher her, leading into Ningyo Hime.

While waiting for the encore to start the audience sang the first chorus of “suki de” but during the last line, instead of singing “anata ga igai nanimo iranai” we sang “Kumiko igai nanimo iranai”

Kuu also said that since she has so many singles, and had to decide on a set list so quickly that there would be changes for the second day (which there were, and will probably be more throughout the rest of the tour.)

That's all I can think of for now. Overall it was an amazing live, and I'm definitely going to try to go again if I get the chance!

Those lyrics are so messy, I can't believe it's really Koda Kumi who wrote those. She used to write so good lyrics for her songs but these days I'm more confused about them than amazed. Ballads are an exception, to those she still writes good and meaningful lyrics but these catchy ones makes me often go "wtf? o.O".

And good that she's still dominating the chart even though it's not Oricon. And what are those other 3 Kuu things on the chart? o.O

Also, could someone please upload Shhh! to mediafire or something because MEGA is still off limits to me?

The lyrics are messy but I think that's cause she kept too much English from the original lyrics ( I'm assuming that cause of the Western producers), like HOTEL She's on this trend with some upbeat songs but I don't really mind it, as long as the song sounds good I can ignore the messy lyrics hahahaha

Language mixing can be fun, but Kuu just isn't good at it imo. I would've liked her recent songs better if they would've had better lyrics. /end rant

On a positive note, I really like the mix of Asian and Western sounds in Shhh. Thanks for uploading, Lidayu & maze!

I'll probably get used to her messy lyrics one day, but it's gonna take a while because for me lyrics are the most important, and this new weird trend in Kuu's songs just ruins those lyrics for me. I hope she'll get over it soon and goes back to the old writing style because that one was great.

Also, I solved my Mega problem by just reinstalling Firefox on my laptop and downloaded Shhh! using that so I don't really need help with it anymore.

Lyrics can't destroy a song for me, unless they're talking others down or doing something else I don't feel comfortable with or don't agree with. Music and vocals always come first.
Kuu could also sing in her own language and I wouldn't mind that much in the end if I like the song.
I'm fine as long as I can get the guts of it, in Shhh!'s case it's probably supposed to be a flirty and powerful woman kind of song, her get to go theme.
Themes and atmosphere are more important to me, I guess.

Though I would be nice, if she kept English smaller like in most of her older upbeat songs. It feels more like her and she can be more direct with what she wants to say. In recent fast songs it's a hit and miss with her incorporating English. That's a point I do think is a pity.

It was such an amazing thing to finally see her live. I've been a fan since 2004 was first planning to see her live back when the Japanesque tour was first announced, but was postponed due to her pregnancy. It's been a long time coming, but definitely worth the wait!

Also here's some more info about the stage and interlude movies that I just remember.

The theme of the stage is kind of designed to represent a jukebox. During the interlude movies Kuu is at a bar/cafe (I don't really remember) with a jukebox filled with all of her past singles. The screen on the top part stage is designed to like the top part of a jukebox, and the circle part on the lower stage rotated with a giant "needle" that would come down from the side to represent a record spinning in the jukebox.

During the interlude movies there were also clips of pvs that played. The ones that stick out the most were the clips of "you" and "lalala" because they edited those clips from the originals. In the clip of the "you" pv, the part where Kuu is sitting on the couch singing was edited so that it was present day Kuu, instead of the Kuu from the original pv. With "lalala" they edited in a second Kuu to sing along with the original Kuu in the pv, except the new Kuu had blue in her hair. (At least I don't think there are two of her in the original pv...now that I think about it, I'm not sure if I've ever seen the full pv for "lalala" lol)

Shinitakashi's does indeed make more sense than the other one we had. Now it doesn't seem too messy anymore. But I still do miss her old lyric writing style. It had more depth in it.

A concert with only b-sides on the setlist? Yes please. Some of my all time fav Kuu songs are b-sides after all and she hasn't performed them that much. XD

Wow, I am loving "Shhh!" very much! It's so catchy & also kinda reminds me a bit of "SHOW ME YOUR HOLLA". I'd love a PV for it, someday! But before then...I'd really like for Kumi to release a new physical single for the summer or something. Those are my favorite singles from her! And to think it'll be 10 years since 4 Hot Wave...dang I feel old.
