Your opinions tends to attack Hikki and her way of getting her music out there to the public. Majority of UB fans are Hikki noobs who attack her older stuff plus HS because it ain't from Kingdom Hearts. The reason they like DR as well is because of Kazzy's PVs plus Hikari.
There u go.

@sugar: No. She is as silent as ever.

@Grace: Next time, don't make you comments seem so offensive. =/

^It just seems like a huge number of Western fans heavily favor DEEP RIVER and ULTRA BLUE because that was the era during which a ton of Hikki's music became exposed to Americans. For people who have been around a while, it's irritating when people just trash the most prolific periods of Hikki's career, like Distance and First Love, and HEART STATION which heavily borrows from those two albums.

I don't like Ultra Blue either. The only songs I liked from it was Colors, Blue, and This is Love.

Calm down everyone, calm down~ Have a little priest, it's really good, it's too good at least! Then again, they don't come with the sings of the flesh so they're pretty fresh~

I hope Hikki gives us some sort of preview soon~

^^I was never a really big Ultra Blue fan, either, and I'm not entirely sure why. I think I might have hyped myself up so much that there was no way to meet the expectations that I placed on it. >_< But I ADORED Deep River. It is still to this day my favorite album. The tracks were amazing and all the tracks just seemed to flow so well.

DEEP RIVER is nice, but the album tracks really bore me. ASAP, Play Ball, Shawase ni Narou, etc are soooo mediocre for me.

Anyway, if Utada were to put out an English album, I'd like to see some variety in tracks. I suppose, similar to her first but just not as experimental maybe. I'd like a rock-pop track, pop track, a ballad, and probably some r&b, with maybe a hip-hop here and there. Just none of those stupid Soulja Boi Crank Dat crap, or I'll have to beat her with a stick.

Gross... my favorites are "traveling," "SAKURA DROPS," "FINAL DISTANCE," and "Letters" and "Hikari."

^Letters is the best track on DR. Tokyo Nights, Hikari, and Traveling are tied for 2nd. Final Distance and ASAP are 3rd. Deep River and Shiawase Ni Narou are 4th.

FINAL DISTANCE is great.

I love it. It's one of my top Hikki songs, because she has the ability to make great balladesque songs. (Dareka no Negai ga Kanau Koro, Be My Last, First Love)

And i agree, I love the story.

I like everything on Deep River except for Shiawase ni Narou and Final Distance. I don't know why but I've always hated Final Distance.

In general, I agree with this statement. Pretty much all of it I agree with (the whole part about older fans and newer influenced fans), but I have to disagree with the last part. I mean, I'll agree that it's irritating if a newer influenced fan trashes very prolific albums just because they are biased towards their tie-in (as in, the songs were featured on anime and games and such) albums; however I think it's fine that people may not like those albums, even if they've only been a fan for a while. For example, I've been a fan of Hikki's for over 7 years now and I'm not a huge fan of First Love (the album). It's one of my least favorites, actually.

And I have to severely disagree with saying that HEART STATION heavily borrows from First Love and Distance. First Love has no album that sounds like it (it's so 90s R&B) in the least, so I don't personally see ANY similarities; and Distance is different as well. I would say that HS sounds more like Distance that First Love, but I still don't see a lot of similarities.

EDIT: Oh, and what's the story behind Final Distance?

Be My Last is my favorite Hikki song, I adore it so much <3~ It's one of the few times where I was actually able to pick up the emotion in her voice.

Wow, I agree! It's such a boring song. Honestly, I fall asleep every time it comes on my shuffle. It's so - well, I don't even know what it is. It's pretty much just crap. =X

I just hate her screaming. Her voice has never sounded that bad... especially the live version she did on the internet acoustic. "Dareka no..." is the superior UB ballad, IMO.
