And the calendar shot really isn't that bad. I like the one where she is smiling a bit more, though.

^Yep, those are some good ViVi shots there.

That is why ViVi is my favorite to see Ayu in. That last one isn't that bad, imo.

Anyway, I think that maybe we don't fully understand "fashion" in Japan nowadays... Maybe the meaning of appearing in magazines is not even to look real; to look like you are actually something you are not. I believe they are taking the term "fashion" into a different level.

We all know the everyday Ayu, but we always get new and different things from her magazine shoots. Maybe is to give her something new to try on; something different.

Western Fashion is more about "natural beauty" = being not natural at all :S

Maybe in Japan, many celebrities go for the full on "plastic image" for their magazines and different things that they do. Maybe ayu is doing that now. I mean, is not a joke or anything, obviously they try to make her look unreal or just like she is a barbie doll. Keep in mind that in Japan they are obsessed with huge round eyes.

EDIT: Also, fashion is just another name for "art". Doesn't need to be always beautiful, it could be ugly, controversial, etc etc.

I dont care if she looks plastic fantastic or if she would be green as long as it looks nice and some pics like ViVis ~best of FISH LIPS~ arent nice no matter what way you turn 'em.

^Yep. It's not ALL up to Ayu. If it were I'm sure we'd have a lot more natural beauty shots, which would be nice and refreshing, but not everyone wants to see her 'natural'. Yea, Japan is obsessed with women who have big eyes, therefore, Ayu does the O3O look all the time. I don't mind though, some of her fish lip shots aren't that bad.

REALLY? The first two ones are some of the best pics of ayu in new time, IMO! XD I love it

But the fourth one.. AGREE. Worst ayu pic ever >.>

I just hope it will be some natural pics.. instead of the fish lips.. I mean, sometimes I think it's really great, but the most of the times, it's like.. crap XD And honestly, though I love these two pics, I don't think I would like to have it at my wall XD

But really.. I hate the cover the more I look at it >.<

it's weird to see ppl bashing the VIVI pics cuz i got the feeling everyone loved them here. i remember when they were new almost everyone on this forum had a set with this pic in it http://i192.photobucket.com/albums/z...S/41826565.jpg
and i was all WTF because it's her worst pic ever and she actually had pics where she was smiling in that VIVI shoot that didn't look bad but most ppl ignored it and picked that one -.- i'm glad most people changed their sets since then lol

anyway i hope we get the inside pics soon, even just a LQ preview, i'm getting so impatient and we're all getting paranoid imagining what the inside pics will be like..
