Does anyone think she'll release a single by April then? I'm not sure of her album release and single patterns but she'll want to soon to keep up the momentum she got from Winter Dairy.

I'm glad you got a copy! I'm in the same boat. My money/job problem leaves little room to add to my Ayu collection, so I'm missing all of her albums after Party queen ;___; I even shelled out the big bucks for a CD+2DVD edition of Pq, the one that comes with her CDL. I hope we can both get on our feet soon and add more Ayu albums to our shelves~

Personally I'd love it if she worked with Yuki Kajiura (the composer for Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica, and most Kalafina tracks). I think Kajiura has a very refreshing blend of rock/orchestra/ballad compositions that would really add a nice jolt of fresh life into Ayu's work.

Oh my god, same here actually! My friend hates Ayu with passion, but she loves RAINBOW lol

^ RAINBOW is just that powerful! IT CAN'T BE DENIED.

I feel that way about quite a few of her songs... I think that's why I love A ONE so much. Not only do all the songs feel polished and finished, but they hit me just as hard as RAINBOW still does. I don't think anything can ever top "HANABI ~episode II~" though. That song is an emotional sucker punch masterpiece...

YES thank you! I totally agree with you about A ONE. Well, okay, I don't think they're as perfect as RAINBOW, but I still love them so much...

ever free is another perfect song that I can never get tired of. Though RAINBOW and ever free are not even my favourite Ayu songs, which is so weird.

Nah I can understand that. It's like me with SEASONS: I think it's gorgeous, but I wouldn't rank it among one of my favorite songs (I always favored SURREAL over SEASONS, but they couldn't be more unalike, heh).

I probably was being a bit hyperbolic; Ayu kinda makes me too emotional. RAINBOW definitely knocks it out of the park on all fronts, and although there's some songs on A ONE that outshine the rest, for me, the emotional impact of the album as a whole is the same as RAINBOW.

Basically it took A ONE an entire album to do what RAINBOW did in one track, if that makes any sense?

Ah it's okay, Ayu always makes me really emotional! It does make sense, it's just that... I think I look at the songs in a different light? I find RAINBOW aesthetically different from A ONE, so that's why I personally can't really compare them. They might have a similar impact emotionally, but it's just that RAINBOW is more ethereal in its arrangement, and Ayu's voice is just so magical. I'm not sure how to explain it.

I do adore A ONE aesthetically as well, but it kinda gives me a different feeling. I feel like RAINBOW purifies my soul and makes me feel better, while A ONE is more nostalgic/sad/bittersweet (depending on the song).

I would die of happiness if it happened. However as both advance in their career in very different world, they'll never collaborate probably.

Songs from the soundtracks for Noir and .hack//sign composed by Yuki Kajiura are among my most played songs. If Anna Tsuchiya can collaborate with Yoko Kanno I think an Ayu x Yuki Kajiura collaboration would be damn fucking great - but it will never happen.

Yes, to me AHS looks "wrong" when it's not on the Rainbow layout. Nothing beats it for me, it's just so classic!

Rainbow was first ever Ayu song after buying A Ballads (I'd never heard her music before) and I was sold after that song. I didn't know what to expect but I think I was in after the first few seconds of the piano, guitar and vocals on Rainbow.

That's sorta how Anything For You makes me feel. I think due to the length you feel you can just "settle" into the song and drift away...

Listening to RAINBOW during the mornings where the early-beginning-signs of Spring are at play with its crisp and brisk air is truly a religious experience. It's such a morning (7:00-8:00am) song. I used to love listening to it on my walk to high school. Today I listened to it on my walk to class at university and 10 years later that kind of essence that stimulates your other senses still echoes the songs atmosphere so elequently.

I litteraly fell in love with that guitar when I first heard RAINBOW ♥
And the piano just over it completes it very well.

So, I've been seeing people mention a "Secret Live Concert" of Ayu's for quite some time but I know VERY little about it. Can anyone tell me more? I found a site that has pictures and a setlist for it:
