I really dislike the cover. It looks so cheap, with that font and the clashing colours. Even with the same theme, she could have had a much better cover than that.

Hard Candy front and back cover. Looks like the titles have flip-flopped again! At first I thought it was fake but the titles match the ones on the Warner sell sheet.

Oh well, the cover doesn't matter (even though I'm definitely buying it - despite the fact that i did actually prefer that cover with her and Justin). What I want is the songs, which hopefully will be good. (I haven't listened to any yet). I'm particulartly curious about 4 minutes though


Well, getting a little off the subject. I have seem some people bashing madonna's vocals before, saying they were crap and the likes. Everytime I listen to her, I think that's really nonsense. Her voice is so unique and is one of the main reasons that makes her music endure time and still manage to be catchy and awesome through all of those years! Her voice was actually a reason why my mother actually got to love a electronic song: Ray of light. She doesn't really care for electronic music, but whenever I klisten to Ray of light she really enjoys it a lot ahhaah

She's not Mariah, but she doesn't have to be. I think her voice suits her kind of music, and sometimes it's just lovely to listen to (Take a Bow, for example) without any need for vocal acrobatics. Some people have technically impressive voices that are completely bland and uninteresting in the end (a lot of the contestants on American Idol).

I think Hard Candy will be one of those covers that looks better, as the actual package itself. I love the cover and promo pic. It's really unique and experimental you could say. She looks great for 49! The cover makes it like she is saying~

"Look you poser pop girls, this is how its done!"

First Look: ''Miles Away'' on Japanese TV

News is just in from Japan that Madonna's new song "Miles Away" - one of the highlights of the upcoming "Hard Candy" album - will be used as the theme song of a Japanese TV Drama, starting airing from April.

The intro and outro of the album version are good, but I gotta say as much of a Madonna fan as I am, I just can't get excited about this song. It's not bad by any means, but it's not at all original. Maybe I just don't like the Timbaland sound because um all his beats sound virtually the same... but at least radio eats it up and Madonna should do well with this single. I'm still looking forward to the album though because, though I'm not wild about this particular song, there's potential with this new direction she's taking and alot of the reviews highlight songs like Devil and a couple others. In the meantime I will exert much effort into liking 4 Minutes lol

don't know if this has been mentioned yet, but HQ's of 4 minutes (album and radio edits) have leaked and i must say, i am impressed! (i waited for HQ before listening)

and i love the fighter image! am drooling over those big laced boots!

You might remember that last month I flew over to Los Angeles where I interviewed Madonna - she was absolutely wonderful and I'm really proud of the interview - we had a great time. Although she was obviously fairly intimidating (without even wanting to be I'm sure) - she was actually heaps of fun and down-to-earth.
