Even though its not concrete yet, if Ayu was to obtain 2nd place then it would still be damn good! Ayu has been in the music industry for ten years, and dominating it the whole time! She is already a legend, she has earned her rightful place as the Queen of Jpop and no matter how many other artists try to pretend they are reigning now, the fact remains that Ayu is still the most influential and successful singing woman in Japan.

Now, the one thing that is really worrying me is Ayu! Because I wouldn't want her to feel unloved, or like her fans are abandoning her. I wouldn't want her to think her music is not as enjoyed anymore. That is what I am afraid of.

Well, in all fairness or whatever, Ayumi already has 10+ albums that scored the #1...So, if she gets 2nd than it'll be okay

BUT I WANT HER TO GET #1! WOOOOOOOOT!

I know about the #1 marks but it isn't important now. I just hope the album sales reach 600,000 copies someday.

I keep hearing posts about her getting #1 on her first week...was that even confirmed by Oricon? I mean, I remember reading a post about it somewhere (I think), but I was checking Oricon today, and the last time THEY updated their weekly album chart was on December 31st, when Ayu wasn't even on the charts.

So, could all the albums sold between 12/25 and I guess yesterday be counted as a first week sale? (Thus, I guess, increasing her chances of getting #1?)

It wouldn't be the END of the world if she DIDN'T get #1, but to have a #1 streak like that would be superior and amazing. =D

no those 3 days are already included. Looks like its pretty much confirms that ayu is getting #2 weekly. If it was just a one week count instead of 2 weeks combined, ayu would of had #1 weekly even though kobukuro had a extra day advantage...so knowing that her real first week was actually #1, I'm happy already even though she ends up with being #2 with 2 weeks combined as 1 week. I pretty much blame avex for the release date and screwed it up. Couldn't they release it a week after the official release date? and they should know very well that ayu's sales drop like heck on her second week. Anyways, I'm pleased with the sales. Congrats to ayu!

I wonder how Kobukoro feel about all this? I'm pretty sure most people in Japan know about her most #1 albums in a row record. I also though sales would rise after Ayu's "I'm deaf in my left ear" announcement like Utada's did after her divorce announcement, but I guess not. :/

I think so Lee_Hamasaki, she usually sells very strong on the first week, but after that her sales begin decreasing dramatically.

her second week sales will technically be her 3rd week's and it will decrease even more...and I think kobukuro will still be above her and even exile...so I don't think she can get #1 for next week.
