if it was only this week i highly doubt they did then
especially if the only reason to believe it is that there is no sign saying index next to the sales figure

if there is no index, i feel so bad for ayu's sales

and i notice now that it means in the first week (although yes, there were multiple versions w/e) Mirrorcle will have sold more than NEXT LEVEL

maybe Days/GREEN too =/ sigh that's what REALLY sucks lol

They started to post actual sales on March 4. No need to feel bad for her sales, she is doing JUST fine. How does TWO days worth of sales means that it will not outsell Mirrocle World or Day / GREEN? Her current sales are 147,518 she only needs to sell like 50k+ to outsold both singles, which I'm positive she will do.

The tag is right people are being overdramatic.

They haven't been using the index since the week arashi's latest single was released

I really don't think tohoshinki should be hated if they would get the #1 x_X.

There is no reason to hate them because of that. At all, they did nothing wrong to anyone.

NEXT LEVEL will outsell both MW and D/G total sales in 2-3 days obviously and that's just the first week. Lately ayu's chart life was better than before so hopefully NEXT LEVEL will continue to maintain it.

For another matter, the fact that ayu's streak for studio albums is broken is still mentioned, I still think that even if she lost it there is no reason to not wish for her to get #1 (specially with such a great album and a new way but that's a matter of opinion).
I do want her to get #1 (and for oricon stuff it will still be 9 #1 original albums which the other present divas don't have yet). If tohoshinki would get it though I would still be happy for both (even if I barely listen to tohoshinki), the lost streak of ayu though is not a reason to not wish for her to get #1 for studio albums. =D

Exactly ^^. AVEX chose to release the albums on the same day and considering that everytime when Ayu and DBSK released on the same week, Ayu won, I doubt it will be different this time, but even if it does it doesn't matter at all They've earned it fare and square~

I don't see what the big deal is about her sales? They are better than most solo female singers. You can't compare to the past, only the present! Right now, no one is selling well. Everyone has had an incredible decline in album sales. I think the standards should be lowered for this day and age, because it's way too high. Most people don't buy physical copies anymore (I imagine it would be mainly hardcore fans that do), casual buyers would more than likely purchase it online.

Hmmm it's quite a drop but still when we live in an age where you can practically download it anywhere it's still good to see it selling. I bought my copy Although I still haven't received it ; ; Hurry up mail lol

Anyhow it's nice to see it's #1 but still the music matters most so even if Ayu came in #2 or #3 as long as the musics good I really don't care. I mean, it's "nice" to have another #1 but as long as I'm enjoying Ayu's music and she's happy with the work she's bringing out then I'm happy

I don't think anyone is wishing that she doesn't get #1 because she doesn't have the streak anymore. People are just saying it's not so bad if she doesn't get #1. As you can see some fans are going crazy because it's a close race for #1 (somewhat of a close race). That's why some-including me say "it doesn't (really) matter anymore".

I also think its a little early to be blaming the economy for these sales. I don't think we've gone through enough of the year to really say just how much of an effect the economy is having on the music industry. Even though we've had some examples of low sales this year, we've also had other examples of artists that have done well and/or way beyond their expectations. And as I mentioned earlier, when I was there last month, the yen was actually very strong against the dollar - so the economic situation over there maybe isn't quite so dire. There is evidence in the past that the Japanese music industry actually benefits when the economy is weak. We'll have to wait and see a bit still imo. This album may not be selling well due to two other factors, a lack of serious promotion and a good chunk of people just simply not liking the new direction.

as long as she got number 1, sales don't matter. and it's unfair to compare her to group bands in sales. solo artists such as ayumi should be compared to those alike who attract similar audiences.

but anyhow, i'm happy overall of the progress of NEXT LEVEL.

Well ayu got a TV performance tomorrow and 3 more magazines and... that's all ._.

Hopefully though the tour will make sales better or make them slowly decline and not quick.

What is going with with Oricon? Are they multiplying the 1.7 everyday instead of every week now? Are they not doing it at all? Are they surveying ALL of the stores in Japan now? What exactly changed?
