B'z grab the No.1 spot on Oricon weekly album ranking

Popular rock unit B'z recently released their first original album in 3 years and 8 months "EPIC DAY" on March 4, and sold 210,000 copies in the first week.

According to Oricon, this allowed the album to top the latest weekly ranking.

This is the 27th No.1 album for the duo, and when including the sales for the album, the total sales for their albums have reached 46,284,000 copies. Thus, with this, they've renewed their own records for "the number of No.1 albums" and "total sales for albums".

B'z to sing the entrance theme for Hiroshima Toyo Carp's Kuroda Hiroki

B'z new song "RED" will be used as the entrance theme for Hiroshima Toyo Carps' pitcher Kuroda Hiroki.

This collaboration came about after Matsumoto Tak (G) had a meal together with Kuroda in Los Angeles earlier this February. The offer was laid out on the table during this meeting. Afterwards, Matsumoto and Inaba Koshi (Vo) willingly agreed to sing the entrance theme for Kuroda.

Kuroda will make his return to the Carps after playing in the major league from 2008 to 2014. To commemorate this occasion, B'z wrote the song "RED", which symbolizes the Carps' image colour. They are scheduled to perform this song during Kuroda's first pitch game at MAZDA Zoom-Zoom Stadium in Hiroshima.
