thanks AY

!! at B'z NINKI index O_O . I'm surprised that after so many years they're still so popular in Japan . Well then again it's no big joke since they're the biggest selling act/duo in their home country so yup

hope the NINKI index for Tegomass will be accurate of sorts as I really like their new single

It'll be interesting to see how well they sell. They only did 292k last year and that was in December too, that's a big difference to me compared to the 800k they opened with 5 years before that. They're still popular though, no doubt, but I was expecting this to open with a little above 200k only.

Ugh, and BUMP's last album opened with 381,446. But the B'z album is a BEST, and the BUMP album is just a b-side collection BUMP's last CD was released the same day as Kobukuro's, I don't want a repeat of them getting blocked from the #1 position.

yeah + you know how the Japanese has a thing for BEST albums especially with B'z capability in putting out their 5th BEST album .

They have another BEST album that's going to be released on 17th Sept called B'z The Best "ULTRA Treasure"

Oh that explains it, I was wondering how they got a new studio album out in 6 months That's sort of annoying...I hope Bump gets #1 but b-side collections aren't very popular in Japan, compared to bests which are super-duper popular typically. I'm almost positive B'z will reach #1 no doubt, but the question is with how much. I'll predict 350k. Their last one released less than 3 years ago sold 762,000 first week.

Sales are in! Single sales are up a lot today!

For singles:
x->1->1->1->1->3->3 - Glay - 26,436 + 13,897 + 5,005 + 3,559 + 2,720 + 4218 (x1.75) = 97,711
x->2->3->2->2->2->2 - Koda Kumi - 23,833 + 8,590 + 4,080 + 3,453 + 2,928 + 7269 (x1.75) = 87,767

*nods head*

+ it's not often a B side collection's put out on a regular basis too , it's interesting to see how BUMP OF CHICKEN will fare when that happens

ALBUMS
x->1->1->1->1->1->1 - Himuro Kyousuke - 15,186 + 10,002 + 4,913 + 4,810 + 4,761 + 8747 (x1.7) = 82,312

exactly what I was saying, most of her singles didn't sell more than 100k in the first week, but only a few

Well at least she got a nice rise from the previous day!
As to not selling 200K first week, Kuu's true era is over unfortunately so we're not gonna see those stellar sales. Plus 4 Hot Wave was a 4-A Side and promoted that way unlike MOON.
