The release gap between Q.E.D. & 2012 is 3 years so it's understandable that a lot of things has happened between both albums

But before the release of 2012 , I prefer Q.E.D. over BLACK LIST but now 2012 is the album for me xD

The 2nd 1/2 of 2012 definitely is my fave & also it helps that there're 3 outta 7 singles included there which're experimental & my faves from the 5 singles 5 months project

After 5 long years , you finally secured your 1st if not well deserved #1

I guess the finalised 1st week sales will be much higher than 115K but still this's great , 2012's 1st week sales already outsold the total sales of Q.E.D. (110,722) & might suppress BLACK LIST's total sales (139,821) in a few weeks's time

xD actually Shangrila , Chou & Yes are my fave singles outta yasu's 5 singles 5 projects that he did last year

Pistol & CRISIS are typical ABC fare but those above 3 mentioned are really outta yasu's music comfort zone but he did them so well <3

Oh yeah 1 thing I'm really annoyed is that non casual ABC fans on here are downloading 2012 just because yasu has beaten Party Queen & then saying stuff that 2012 is terrible & etc

it's annoying because they never listen to BLACK LIST & Q.E.D. before that & let alone , the ABC thread used to be dead until now

saying that 2012 is boring & etc , my advise's just listen to yasu's 1st 2 albums before jumping into conclusion , period

I probably should stop complaining about it but that's just me

The story is REALLY good, if you haven't read it yet, you really should! And afterwards hearing Q.E.D. from beginning to end while reading the lyrics. And I also recommend to hear BLACK LIST from beginning to end while reading the lyrics. I also thought BLACK LIST is very dark but after reading all the lyrics I'm so in love with BLACK LIST and Q.E.D.! Both have a really strong concept like 2012 has again. But Q.E.D. has the strongest concept. I so can't wait till all lyrics of 2012 are translated to read them in order like I did with BLACK LIST and Q.E.D. Sorry Ayu, I love Party Queens concept, but here again, yasu wins!

oh wow I never know about this website o_o but thanks I will be bookmarking it

what I respect/like about yasu is that even though ABC is a band thing (in a bid way to cover up his solo project of sorts xD) , he does everything on his own which's really admirable if not easy

he writes , composes , arranged & even produced everything . Writing is 1 thing but doing the other 3 is a whole different thing altogether

ahaha yeah people can be so insensitive sometimes ~_~ . If you're an ABC fan , you wouldn't say that oh Party Queen should get #1 JUST BECAUSE of some baseless reasons you've made

If you're in both ABC & ayumi's fandoms , you would be able to look at things in a logical manner & I can tell you , it's tough when your fandoms clash with each other D: you want them to be #1 but ultimately that spot only belongs to 1 ._.

Acid Black Cherry ranks #1 on Oricon for the first time



Taking a hiatus from his rock band Janne Da Arc, vocalist yasu has released his 3rd album “2012” under his solo act, Acid Black Cherry. The album sold 118,000 copies, a personal best for him, and ranked in at number one on Oricon’s 4/2 Weekly Album Ranking – a first time for yasu. Yasu has been having major activities for 13 years, and this will be his first ever first place.

His previous singles and albums have been able to reach the number two spot, and his works with Janne Da Arc were also able to reach number two, but not number one.

Due to the unexpected success 『2012』 has attained , avex Taiwan will be releasing the CD + DVD (with the PVs) in Taiwan on 13th April , making this yasu's very 1st release in getting an OS press ^___^
