Will there be a new album?

With 6 A-sides (I seriously doubt SDW will be on there since it's not a c/w and she never puts B-sides on an album) and probably 2-4 promo tracks we'll get beforehand, I hope we get a nice long album so there's a sufficient amount of new material.

And I hope the interludes this time are like NEXT LEVEL awesome and not RnRC awful.

Ayu said that Avex gave her a little more time than normal for RnRC. She also only had two singles, one less interlude, and more tracks for RnRC than normal, which would mean she needed to record more overall.

NEXT LEVEL, in comparison, was released only 1 month after Rule/Sparkle, and that was a two-single album too. (But we all know that NL was rushed out.)

GUILTY was released 3 1/2 months after talkin' 2 myself, but it also had a third single (the digital release of Together When... only 3 weeks before album release.)

Secret was the only odd one. It came five months after Blue Bird... but Secret was also intended to be a mini-album and, at the very last minute, it was decided to record additional songs for full album.

I highly doubt 12th Al. will be in February or later. If it doesn't happen before the end of the year or right after new year, we are more likely to see the 51st single and the album come after that. So, I think the new album will be right at the end of 2010 or just after new year. (And I agree with others, I really don't see Ayu releasing another album during the two-week chart span at the end of the year.)

Keep in mind that Ayu's history shows her albums follow like this. At every other point in her career where she accumulated single releases like this within 9 months of releasing an album, she followed up within the same calendar year with another album. She had I am... and RAINBOW in 2002, and (miss)understood and Secret in 2006. She then takes a 6-8 month breaks from releases after both RAINBOW and Secret. (So a 2011 break is very likely.)

Well, the damage with GUILTY is already done. There's been two albums (and A COMPLETE) since then so there's no real streak to be broken. They'll probably still chose a good safe week to release it but I don't think it'll turn them off from a winter release altogether.

Well, there's quite some room in the autumn campaign after her 7days-special tour (some kind of) stuff... Maybe she could release an album - two studio albums in a single year!

I have a feeling we'll get an album in December or January. At least that's what I'm hoping for. There are definitely enough tracks from singles, so now she would just have to record some more album tracks and add the interludes and we've got ourselves an album.

I really hope this is a good one though. None of the songs this album era scream amazing to me, but I do really like some of them (aka crossroad). I wouldn't consider any of the songs besides SDW to be bad (which definitely won't be on the album), so if all the new tracks are good, this could be her best album since...GUILTY or maybe even Secret.

...scratch that "nothing amazing" comment. Just heard Last Angel and wow. Just wow.

her new album's gonna suck for me. i just hope the album tracks are kick-ass... im not a fan of the new songs. i kept on repeating them until it grows on me... sadly, until now. nada. hahaha.

blossom and Sweet Season are the only two songs that i like.

December would be good for me... since I like when albums come out at the end of the year for some reason... But, Ayu can take all the time she needs. I don't want her to just spew out songs for the sake of it.

You know what, this thread title is funny...will there be another album? haha Of course there will be! I'm hoping for a December/January release. But who knows, it might be even later than that. But she has been working on a lot of songs lately, so we'll see.

Not looking forward to this album so far. A standard ayu album is about 15 tracks (give or take 2-4 interludes). Assuming she's going to put MOON, blossom, crossroad, SEVEN DAYS WAR, Last Angel, Sweet Season, and Virgin Road on the album. That only leaves room for about 4/5 new songs. And knowing ayu for the person she is, 2 of those 4/5 new songs are destined to be ballads. I don't remember the last album that didn't have at least 1/2 non single songs as ballads. Sigh. She might as well just make an A Ballads 2. She's already half way there with these new singles.

tbh i don't think i would mind an a ballads 2 with all these new songs as opposed to another studio album with all these ballads, 1 crazy song, and 1 hard rock song. Especially if it had a bunch of acoustic orchestra/classical versions of songs like microphone.

Personally I'd like a Christmas single, a six month break, and then a new album for summer/autumn of 2011 full of fresh material.

Its sad to see all the pessimism about an album that hasnt even come out yet...
First of all, if Ayu released all the amazing songs into singles, and left all of the (what other people would call) bad songs on the album, then no one would buy the album!
So im sure that her new album will have songs that will surpass her singles.
Example RnRC had Last Links, SLT, Microphone, Countdown that for me could have been singles because they were amazing, but the album needs to have something to sell itself... duh..
And i think the album will come out around January im hoping for that ;p

Also, they could release a second mini-album instead of a normal-album.
